I first believed Rhaenyra would be a good first queen of Westeros, but after watching her destroy her own power base and literally do nothing for most of the Dance... it's easy to see how much like her father she became. Indolent and indecisive; that's the legacy she left behind, and that's sad af.

@@WorldOfWesteros The problem I see with her is that as Crown Princess she didn't do much to make herself look like a better candidate than her half-brothers. She refused to marry or entertain the prospects of marriage from the noble lords which turned them against her, she married her uncle when the whole reason she became the heir was so he wouldn't be king, she didn't have children with a man that at least resembles her husband which throws her legitimacy out the window, and she doesn't play the Tyrells game of being an angel towards the common folk. Overall, she needed to take Rhaenys's advice and realize she won't get a chance to do anything unless she plays the game first.

In my opinion the smartest place to put the dragon out would have been under the red keep. You have an opening to the bay right there and to have that and inside the keep being the only entrances would be the best way to go about things. Then again having to build an entire massive cave system would definently hurt the structural integrity of the Red Keep

I think it really depends how many were on Dragonstone. But I mean Aegon only had three dragons when he took Westeros so there is no reason to think with 4 the population wouldn’t recover. Would take a few generations but it’s doable. What makes me wonder is how much worse would the blackfyre rebellions have been if both sides still had dragons.

Even the first was a long shot considering they only got 2nd and 3rd tiger lords. No Stark, Lannister or Tyrell to back them up to get a whole kingdom behind them. Now if they did get even one dragon it could tip the scales.

They probably didn’t have any idea what to do especially because Rhaenyra was in such fear, it would most likely have to be under her command for them to let them go. These are not sheep they were dragons and if they were to let all of them go they might all scatter around and who knows who could bound with one especially because of the “dragonseeds”, who were simple commoners who may or may not have possessed Valyrian blood. Basically it would most likely have to be under Rhaenyra’s command, the dragon keepers were probably frightened of the mob, they probably thought the peasants would die before coming to the dragon pit from troops saving them or they may have thought the dragons would kill them all.

The sheer fucking mayhem , epic moments and ideeas and cinematic potential/imagination stimulation was through the roof. Well, though this was heinous the people were angry because they were starving. When Rhaenyra becomes Queen she didn't realize that the Green's moved their wealth. Because of this, she increased taxes and these people couldn't afford them. The realm in general were sick of this family and their self destructive ways bleeding onto the citizens of Westeros. These people are losing they are not gaining, and this family doesn't care.
