I'm curious, if you don't mind. I know that tickets to these places are not cheap. That being said, you seem to have the option of going to where ever the conditions are the best. Is there a "cover or blanket charge" that these places charge, offering an "open ticket" to where you want to ski that day or do you have to buy seasonal tickets for each resort, etc.? Thanks and enjoyed the ride!

Heavenly, kirkwood and Northstar ski areas are all on the epic pass, which are owned by Vail Resorts. They offer a few different season passes that include all three of those resorts.

Thank @mxracer 312. Yes that is correct. So if you buy your pass early like at the end of this season for the next it was around 550 for those 3 resorts plus a few other resorts in other areas. So we do choose resorts based on forecasts and it is also why I don't feel bad only skiing for a few hours to a half a day. If I paid the full lift ticket I would be there from open to close.
