The damage may seem nice, but AP Alistar laning/jungling solo is just pain. For this sole reason I think he's just not very good. That being said - it's pretty FUN. Unless you have to do it with 220 ping like I did

Honestly, ever since they took the AD off his ult, solo Alistar has not been that great. But pre-6 has always been a struggle for him because of the large hitbox, slow movement speed, etc.

Even on live servers you can do same things like in this video with alistar. Like being 3 lvls ahead with some kills is not OP item or champ and then killing 30-70% health enemy. When he killed full HP enemy with oneshot he was either too fed already or 1 time had yuumi on him against squishy. Stormsurge helped him ONE time in whole video kill enemy but on live servers you have harverster or horizon focus which would help him with kill too. AP alistar is assassin nothing else. Assassins should oneshot squishy targets solo so this video is kinda only clickbait.

there is something primitive but inherently funny about Alistar being able to one shot people. It's the same feeling I get when I see a Malphite missing his ult for apparently no reason or a Blitz hooking someone to offscreen.

I did this idea on AP Amumu, you can 1v5 pentakill full teams if you land ur ult. Probably helps that Amumu passive gives 10% bonus true damage (ult procs it) so when Stormsurge blows up it hits hard. Well if anything it makes alot of the new Season interesting because you can get alot more build variety on Champions, ESPECIALLY ON MAGES who either Had Ludens/Liandris/Everfrost/Crown as first Item, followed by Zhonyas and Rabadons most of the time. That and alot of other Items, especially Tank Items looking decent and the lack of Mythics will atleast make up for some interesting times where people figure out builds. I really hope Riot doesnt just add Mythics back in because "lmao its too hard to balance this" and just throws the Item Balance idea of a low variety build meta out of the window. Stuff like Stormrazor+Lichbane Veigar for example was a really fun and decent Off-Meta build

Not really. Several of the items that were giving far too much damage were removed and replaced with far weaker versions.

In this season they ended up adding quit a bit of damage back, hopefully the removal of mythics would tone the damage down a bit from what it is now. (And I also hope that they would remove this ap item, it feels like a mythic item when there are no more mythic items)

@@shutupMaji I don't think tanks will benefit that much from Serylda and Cleaver not being stackable, but the fact that bruiser items lose a lot of stats in general will benefit them greatly. They fare pretty well into AD champs anyway, the only question is if the new MR options will be busted enough to counter how OP the AP items are. On paper FoN and Kaenic Rookern look ridiculous, but so do new AP items

Well in reality stormsurge in this video literally helped with one kill only and as AP alistar enjoyer you would kill him even on live servers with horizon focus and mythic. Yes item is nice and good but in this video with alistar its not good example. AP alistar is assassin so he should delete one person especially squishy champ. Its like fizz montage if you build AP items and are ahead and use all spells on one person and oneshot him OFC you seem OP and items could too.

Nevertheless, even if you kill the target before the proc, it explodes in AOE and give you more gold, so that makes it even better in TF. Here might not be the best example, but a 250-300 damage proc at 1-2 items is nuts

Shaco, ziggs,ashe, tristana starting 0:44 would die still with harvester/horizon. 1:38 Miss fortune is only time where stormsurge really did something more but harvester on live servers deal kinda similar damage. Also Stormsurge seems like it deal more dmg bcs it deal dmg AFTER combo so you just see it better but harvester/horizon deal dmg at first dmg dealt/during combo so you cant see it but it deal similar dmg like stormsurge. Item is good but i dont say no but in this instance its only for some extra money and other items are better for alistar. All i say this video is bad example why this item is good bcs it literally didnt help in 99% cases.

You have to remember that mythics were 20-30% stronger than normal items are/will be. So stormsurge can do same/better, despite items power being significantly decreased. It has 12 flat magic pen, i wouldn't forget about it. But the downside is lack of CDR and mana, so it's not a perfect item whatsoever.

Hey Vandiril quick question: How Mundo spell Clever can kill anything if deal % of current hp. If he hit something that have 2000 hp, he will deal 600 dmg at max rank. If he hit something with 100 hp he will deal 30 dmg with q at max rank, with that in mind on 10 hp will be reduced to 7 and if target have 1 hp left then will be killed because riot code work with int numbers and not float (C++). I noticed few days ago but I couldn't find any answer on google or reddit.
