Congradulations on doing the one obvious thing that no one else does~~ showing the fret board from the viewpoint of the player. Makes it much easier to see which fingers are touching the strings etc.

Okay current time is Thu 27 2023, first I have been playing for about 50 years Old guy, but I do love the Allman Brothers caught them in Frisco I feel like i grew up with them. The version of this song is my favorite other comments have said you are a great guitar player and teacher, now there are good guitar players and good teacher's but, in my humble opinion you are both. Thanks for this video I'm sitting here playing note for note, and loving it. Do some more Great

Best tutorial ever! You didn't just jabber on, and when you did talk, it was kept short and simple. I loved it and I'm watching the solo tutorial next.

A fine take on the Allman's version. Liked that you threw in so many of the little licks, and triads and such that add the flavor when two guitars are playing together. It's always the little things.

In the 40+ years I've been playing this song, THIS IS the BEST tutorial on the Fillmore version of Stormy Monday bar none. It is pretty much note for note, chord for chord what Duane and Dicky played at the Fillmore in 1971. You even included the cool lick at the end of the video that I never see anyone cover. Check out the subtle variations in the live version at American University in DC recorded 12/30/70. You may want to do a follow up video on that one as well.

I just discovered your channel and it's really great for me. Love how I can see exactly what you're doing and your explanation breakdown is very explanatory. I love both the Duane Allmam, Dickey Bette version and the Wayne Bennett version w/ Bobby Blue Bland is a more blues jazz mix. Thank you for the presentation.

What a great lesson. I watch your videos as for me the delivery style and pace are perfect. Could you maybe do a simple video on dominant , minor chords, 7 chords and how they blend and resolve. Thanks for your contributions

Yeah that'll be really helpful. I'm so charmed by changes in progression in the 7-8 bars. They threw in those minor 7th chords and what a dreamy flavour it brought about.

Good lesson. I do wish, however, that you would talk about the notes you're playing, since as you know, most of us guitar players don't know the notes on the fretboard!

Long skinny fingers sure are an asset. Your little finger is longer than my middle finger, let alone my index finger. And My nails curve down at the top so I have to keep cutting them about every third day or I'm playing on ice skates. Then I got the thicker fingers and short thick palms. Finally, I've got a weird thing when I push down on the strings the fingers on the top strings when I press down on the string, a little piece of skin pops out below the string and no matter what I try to do to get rid of that I can't find a way to rectify that situation. The only cure is getting the finger down a perfect 90* to the string, but then my fingers aren't long enough to facilitate this for every finger. So I'm not going to be the next Duane Allman, I won't even be the next Bill Allman whoever that is, but he probably plays better than me even if he doesn't play. At least God has a sense of humor, because I am also 5'3" tall and not very good-looking no matter what perspective you look at me. Funny, I always thought I was destined to do something special. Boy, was I ever wrong.
