Stormy Rose and Tulip on a rainy day

An update on Stormy Rose. Tulip and Stormy continue to be tolerant of each other. Stormy is exactly where she needs to be health wise. She continues to gain weight and eating great!

Stormy looks wonderful, so chilled out and relaxed. She really doesn't seem to mind Tulip hanging out in her space. They may never be lodge-buddies, but they are polite neighbours and I guess that's good enough. 😊

Oh, a lovely rain 💦☔ and good news. Thank God Stormy can stay over the winter.😊 It wouldn't be good for her to be all alone. Maybe a beaver will come over the winter months. Beavers make a lot of work and are expensive to maintain. I wish you a lot of strength and energy. 🙏🪵🦫🌷🍀🦫❤️

Thanks for the update on Stormy! You had a couple of great shots of Stormy and Tulip side by side that really highlighted the difference between the two. Stormy has definitely improved but compared to Tulip Stormy definitely has a ways to go, and you're doing a great job getting her there.

Just being a normal nocturnal beaver. She just isn't used to a human schedule like Tulip. I would love to see another attempt at a night vision trail cam. Still love seeing Tulip and Stormy hang out together. I think Stormy might have been curious about pets there at the end. 💙Stay safe in this weather.

Poor Tulip. I think she would like another beaver playmate, like she had with Petunia, but Stormy does not seem very interested. I wonder if Stormy is mourning her washed-away family. Both beavers look spectacular. Were you adversely affected by Hurricane Helene?

Holley, You are amazing. The care, love, and dedication you give these animals is just wonderful. I want to take a moment to glow. I am no you, but I did take in a senior wreck of a dog about 6 mos. ago. Starved (and I mean starved - she was 40 lbs when found, 50 lbs when I got her with a skeletal appearance, 62 now and at ideal weight...I want everyone to imagine that at 62, she is good, at 50 she was skeletal, what the h*ll did she look like at 40? How did she survive? Sorry, I digress) , flea infested to the point of permanent skin damage and balding, a tail that was clearly broken badly at some point, nails and quicks way too long, and ear infections that resulted in being deaf in one ear. Here's my point, and I know you were hoping I would get to it today, I took her to the vet this week, and the vet said she truly didn't recognize her at first glance. Bald spots, mostly gone. Weight ideal. Nails and quicks slowly receding. Allergies and ear getting better and better every day!! This involves a lot of work, as you know. However, having my Dellie Belly happy and somewhat healthy makes me so happy, and the occasional, "You did it," from the vet doesn't hurt. So, Holley, here's my, "YOU DID IT!!!" I was so worried about Stormy. I should have just had faith and relied on your expertise and loving ways to get her back to health. I love all of you!!! p.s. Where has Keanu been- my favorite Tulip treat thief?

So Keanu ended up with the opportunity of a lifetime! His work ethic was so strong that he was accepted into police dog training!! We love rescuing dogs but love it even more when we can find the perfect place for them!

Ummmm...did anyone ASK Stormy if she wanted to leave!?!! Stormy gets free food, medical, room and board, along with the hooman to change the water, a fence to protect her from gremlins(?), and what not. Stormy KNOWS when she's getting a good deal, and may hire Phoebe to sue to remain in place... 🥰 P.S. Stormy and Tulip wouldn't mind if the hooman gave them umbrellas...

Stormy is amazing! It's wonderful to see how much weight she's gained, although she still has a way to go before she can challenge Tulip for the Most Spherical Beaver Championship. But I'm so impressed about how chill she is around Tulip (who is also very polite) and how comfortable she is with you, Holley. She even came over to say hello! As for the side-eye, it's all about the recipient: Turnip had to keep reminding Tater who the boss was, whereas Stormy's expression is more like a combination of a slight wariness, some curiosity, and mild exasperation at the antics of her eccentric neighbor, Tulip. 💕🌷🦫 💕🌪️🌹🦫 💕🐬 💕💙 💕🏡
