I'm a 64 year old grandmother, and this song is just perfect, it really touches my heart, Stormzy is universal, his music reaches all, and all the references in the song from Shakespeare to Jesus shoqw us what an amazing wordsmith he is. Stormzy should be treasured, he speaks truth, just listen to Vossi Bop. To all of you out there, there is more that unites us than divides us, I know others have said it, but in these times we need to remember that truth, love, good wishes, blessings, peace to you all

STOP LISTENING TO THEIR RECORDERS AND ANY OTHER IMAGES OF PEOPLE THAT THEY'VE SHOWN TO YOU. IT'S A STITCH UP. I'M ONLY IN THIS SITUATION B'COZ I CHEATED ON A 1 WOMEN THEN USED BY OLD AND NEW RACIST. THESE PEOPLE ARE BULLYING PEOPLE IN THE BACKGROUND. EXAMPLE, THEY MADE SOME SOMALIS SLEEP WITH SOME YOUNG GIRLS BUT THESE YOUNG GIRLS WEREN'T ENGLISH. THEY WERE POLISH. AND TOLD THE ENGLISH PEOPLE "LOOK THEIR FUCKING OUR DAUGHTERS ALREADY THEY MOVED SOME WHITE AND BLACK PEOPLE FROM DIRTY HOUSES AND PUT SOMALIS IN THERE HOUSES. I'VE WITNESSED FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS DECEPTION, MANIPULATION AND BULLYING BY A WHITE PERSON ON ANOTHER WHITE PERSON. WHETHER IT WAS TO HURT SOMEONE OR WITNESS SOMETHING SET UP BY THAT OTHER PERSON. A STITCH UP. STARTING FROM 2009 WEN I WAS IN PRISON AND THEY CALLED ME A RACIST. PLAYING INMATES RECORDINGS OF CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN ME AND OTHER WHITE AND BLACK INMATES. I THEN CAME OUT OF PRISON FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS BEFORE I WENT BACK IN PRISON AGAIN FOR WRITING A LOVE LETTERS, EVEN THOUGH MY PROBATION OFFICER SAID HE USE TO WRITE LETTERS TO ME AND LEAVE MESSAGES ON MY PHONE. THEN, AS SOON AS I WAS PUT IN PRISON, SOMEONE SPREAD A RUMOR THAT I WAS A RACIST, THEN TRIED TO KILL ME. EVEN IN ANOTHER PRISON, SPREAD THE SAME RUMOUR FOR THE SAME TYPE OF PEOPLE TO TRY CREEP UP BEHIND ME OR CORNER ME SOMEWHERE IN THAT PRISON. LOOKING BACK, I'M 100% POSITIVE SURE THEY WERE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO SPREAD THE RUMOUR ON THE WING SENT ONE OF THEIR BOY'S TO KILL ME. AFTER I SPENT SOME TIME IN PRISON, WITH MY BACK AGAINST THE WALL, THEY SOON STARTED THE FOOD SITUATION. OUR 2-4 PEOPLE. EVERY BODY WANTS TO BE A ONE OR EVERYONE IS A ONE AND NO-ONE LIKES OUR 2-4 PEOPLE WHITE OR WHITE AND BLACK. (ALSO REMEMBER POOR PEOPLE CAME INTO THIS SITUATION, YOU HAD TO GIVE TO THEM) AND THEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, NUMBERS AND COLOURS THAT WERE MEANT TO GET ME KILLED PORTRAYED AS A PAEDOPHILE, MADE HOMELESS (CHOICES, FOOD AND NUMBERS) A PERSON WHO'S INTO POLITICS (1 AND 2 THING), LOOKS (UGLY & PRETTY) SO THAT THEY CAN PORTRAY, LOOK "THEY GO AFTER PRETTY WOMEN" MONEY (A GIRL WITH MONEY OR BROKE) SO THAT THEY CAN PORTRAY, LOOK "THEY GO AFTER WOMEN WITH MONEY" A RACIST (WHICH IS GOING ON NOW AS THEY NEVER GOT TO PORTRAY ME AS A RACIST. AND NOW, THEY HAVE A BLACK PERSON SAYING ON THE MICROPHONE "WHO U CALLING A NIGGA" WHICH I NEVER. IT'S ONLY FOR HIM TO KILL AND BEAT PEOPLE UP WITH. LISTEN OUTSIDE MY WINDOW. THEY THINK THEIR BETTER LOOKING THAN BLACK PEOPLE, TO RAPE A SOMALI WOMEN. SOME OF THEM ARE REGION ORIENTATED. NORTH SOMALIS DON'T LIKE SOUTH SOMALIS. ALSO, GUESS WAT, GOING BACK TO THE BLACK THING. 50 CENT SAID "IF YOU DON'T SAY NIGGA I'LL GIVE U A MILLION POUNDS" GUESS WAT, SOMEHOW NIGGA KEPT ON POPPING UP IN MY HEAD AS WELL AS A BLACK MANS PENIS AND A WOMEN'S VAGINA. GUESS HOW, SOME LITTLE CUNT, WHO WAS BLACK, WAS FOLLOWING ME AROUND IN MY HOUSE (BLACK FAMILY ABOVE OUR HOUSE. WE LIVE IN FLATS) ALL THE WHILE HAD A FUCKING DEVICE WHICH ACTED LIKE A PROJECTOR, PUT IMAGES AND WORDS IN MY HEAD. WHY, SO THAT THEY CAN PORTRAY HOW DIRTY MINDED WE ARE. THEN THEY SAY "THEY THINK THEIR BETTER LOOKING THAN OUR BLACK PEOPLE, USING THE BLACK CARD TO RAPE WOMEN B'COZ A WHITE PERSON GAVE THE BLACK PERSON THE OPPORTUNITY TO FORCE A WOMEN FOR SEX. AS FOR ME, ARE YOU SURPRISED I LET GO OF MYSELF (SORRY IF I EMBARRASSED ANYONE) I BECAME DEPENDENT ON ALCOHOL. IT BECAME THE FIRST AND LAST THING I DID, EACH DAY. WENT FROM A PERSON WHO'D WASH AND SHOWER EVERYDAY TO ONCE A YEAR. (REMEMBER THEY HAD A GO AT ME FOR SHOWERING EVERYDAY) BECAME LOOSER AS TIME WENT ON. NO PATIENCE, VOLATILE AND CARELESS. IN REGARDS TO PAEDOPHILES AND RAPISTS, IF MY ACTIONS AND THOUGHTS MAKE US ALL OF THE ABOVE, ( ALL THAT I WROTE UP THERE, WHAT THEY TRIED TO SET US UP WITH) WHAT DOES THAT MAKE THESE THOUSANDS OF RAPISTS AND PAEDOPHILES, CONVICTED TODAY AND YESTERDAY, SINCE 2012 WITH THEIR IMAGES, WHO ARE WHITE, WHITE AND BLACK, BLACK, ASIAN? WHAT DOES THAT MAKE THEM? UNDENIABLE FACTS. STILL GETTING CONVICTED TILL TODAY. I'M NOT WHAT THE WHITE AND BLACK TELL YOU I'AM. THEIR USING ME AND MY SITUATION. EVEN SOME FOREIGN NATIONALS SAID "NOT ONE OF THEM"

Social responsibility is a key theme that runs throughout Stormzy’s ‘Crown’. The song narrates Stormzy’s inner struggle between remembering his humble beginnings and recent massive success and wealth. He speaks about how he is ‘grateful’ and ‘counting’ his ‘blessings’ for what he has earned but feels the heaviness of ‘the head that wears the crown’; this means he feels compelled to redistribute some of his success to the people who live in a similar upbringing he had, such as the ‘young black youth’ he recently helped with his scholarship program. ‘Crown’ is both an explanation of what Stormzy is trying to do to be socially responsible, while also criticising politicians he feels are neglecting their social responsibilities.

@@danielbackhouse2533 Well to be fair Stormzy does also excel in the ''grime'' genre. Your dad has a point. Some of Stormzys' lyrics are literally about drugs and gangs. If you're easily influencable by trends and media and are a complete dickhead who isn't capable of thinking critically then you might idolize the ''street life'' without actually comprehending any deeper meaning or lesson that Stormzy talks about in his lyrics. Just because Stormzy sings about some grimy aspects of his personal life / experience doesn't mean he wants everyone to copy him. Wankers.

@@kenziewooton5610 probably grime in the UK but Hip Hop/RnB was around before grime so it is actually a from of or genre of Hip Hop/RnB. It is to close to being similar not to be considered American Hip Hop/RnB. In fact, listen to ole school East Coast Hip Hop/RnB/Rap and you may understand where I am coming from with this comparison. check these out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4K6doOanLhmd9U and kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWqpZquZpc93g7c there is a lot more I could share but maybe these will help

@geewhite22415 жыл бұрын
@@dalek7827 i know that he came from grime and that is cool with me. It is definitely a UK thing and that's cool too. I have heard a lot of his songs. What I am saying that even grime is a form of American Rap. This song here is great as well and reminds me of what Hip Hop/RnB is suppose to be about. I am not a young cat lol so in the 80s and 90s when Hip Hop/RnB was making the way for a lot of people is what I am referencing here. Stormzy has that same essence about him in his songs that may help him become a World Icon some day.

And before someone reply's saying cannabis is a natural plant let me tell you this. There is nothing natural about smoking the dried out womb of a deliberately sexually starved female plant. But Stormzy would know this because he takes time when he waters his plants...

be quiet, over 50% of brits want it legal, it's less dangerous than alcohol yet brits still go out and chuck that down their necks, don't they? not to mention our own MP's are admitting to coke use, brits love a good time, alright? 😂 what's the difference between this young black man enjoying a joint and some young white hipster londoner? the police are slowly decriminalizing weed anyway lol, the so called war on drugs is bullshit and needs to be scrapped asap, we need rehabs and therapy centres not prisons
@atomiser2035 жыл бұрын
Yay its safer than alcohol lets all go inhale it in to our lungs along with all that delicious carbon monoxide.. I smoked it from the age of 17 and now I am asthmatic and have scarring on my lungs. But its ok its better than alcohol right. The cannabis plants is natural to this world. and in the wild the female is free to interact and mate with males. This keeps its chemical composition as it was intended. The cannabis that you are are smoking has been deliberately deprived of that male interaction to change its chemical composition in favour of thc over cbd. Not to mention genetically modified. It was put on this planet to be ingested not inhaled. Keep this substance illegal for our kid sake people...
