Jasper's story is what we all want, don't lie. Or Edwards death note chapters. It's a lot she can cover honestly, I just don't know if she have the nerves to write about such dark themes. Twilight is pretty tame after all.

I'm pretty sure that pomegranate is cut in half. Pomegranates have a really tough, leathery shell which makes it nearly impossible to bit into. Anyway, if Bella is represented by an unbitten apple, Edward is the pomegranate, cut open for us to see inside (his perspective). Also traditionally in Greek mythology, pomegranates are representative of eternal life, and are strongly associated with Goddesses like Aphrodite (Beauty), Athena (Wisdom) and, of course, Persephone (Goddess of vegetation but most importantly the co-ruler of the underworld), all of whom I think can be associated with Edward in some way.

Oh and girl in the midnight sun pages that Stephanie released on her website she explained that to Edward, Bella was his midnight sun. She wrote something along the lines of "before Bella I had the stars and they were the little moments of joy in life, once Bella appeared he got blinded and he couldn't see the stars anymore, all his eyes wanted and needed was bella so he had to go back to forks and stop running away from what he wanted which is being with bella... remember? Omg I'm so excited and cant wait. A part of me wants and wishes Stephanie released the entire saga through Edwards point of view and then on 2025 she can focus on Renesmee and Jacob 💚💚

ive been a twilight stan for soooooo long & I totally get what u mean. the bandwagon hate people had/ have for a book they'd never even read was really annoying & honestly kinda immature. like how are you gonna ridicule people for liking something that you know little to nothing about? i loved the video! although im pretty sure that the pomegranate on the cover is actually cut in half & cracked, not bitten. also (in my opinion) bella is actually the embodiment of the midnight sun, since edward talks about his life being an "unchanging, unending midnight" & wonders how it's possible that the sun is rising in his midnight while realizing he's inlove with bella.

When the announcement that Midnight Sun was coming out, I wanted to cry! I've watched Twilight ever since I was in second grade, and I'm in eighth now, and I still love the series so freaking much!!! 😭 I have all the movies and I recently re-watched them all and fell more in love.Something about the music in Twilight like a thousand years and when Edward played on the piano, it makes me feel weird like kind of a depressed way (Probably just me but idk how to describe it) and I've always prayed to find a guy like Edward and have a love story like that, even though I know it's not going to happen.😔

Persephone ate three pomegranate seeds while in the Underworld, thus irrevocably tying herself to Hades. So I think the two bites are symbolic of how close to doing something that will, in his view, damn Edward eternally.

I forgot to mention that in the Midnight Sun synopsis, it says that it is a "drawing on the classic myth of Hades and Persephone". Here's a link to a quick recap of the Greek myth: www.greekmyths-greekmythology.com/myth-of-hades-and-persephone/ ∙∙COVER∙∙ You'll see that Hades persuaded Persephone to eat a ~pomegranate~ and if you continue, you'll see that some experts say this helped foster the idea of a more perfect life after death which laid groundwork for Christianity. Without getting too religious, you can see how this reflects back to the Twilight cover of the red apple. Watch 11:18 for this explanation. This is PERFECT to reflect their different points of view for the same story. I personally love that they are both "forbidden" fruit and someone had mentioned how they both look like hearts. Everything else said about the cover still applies. ∙∙TITLE∙∙ I cut out a part of this video that appears to be very important. My raw footage was an hour long so this was a lot of editing for me. As mentioned, the Twilight titles represent Edward's interference in Bella's life so we can assume Midnight Sun is Bella's interference in Edward's life aka Bella is the Midnight Sun. I got rid of this because I wanted to stick to one theory and not confuse anyone (also forgot about the myth). This plays back to the Greek myth because Persephone (sun), the goddess of nature, is the in the underworld (midnight). We can conclude this is true as well due to the fact that Edward believes his soul is damned. Watch 12:20 for this explanation. ∙∙GIVEAWAY∙∙ I'll be hosting a giveaway on my channel where I'm preordering Midnight Sun for a subscriber that comments. Hades didn't persuade Persephone to eat the pomegranate he tricked her. She was young and naive when he kidnapped her and forced her into marriage and she didn't know that the pomegranate would trap her in the underworld. In the myth Hades destroys the flower field and drags Persephone into the underworld. In the Twilight books Edward sits with Bella in a field rather than forcefully kidnapping her because he would do anything rather than harm her innocence and the beauty of her mortality. Hades is evil and he's a *contrast* to Edward's behavior. Ultimately Edward does still "trick" Bella by being irresistibly appealing (in a deceptive vampire way), but it's against his own will that this happens.

I cant explain how much i suffered for Midnight Sun 😭😭😭 I read 12 chapters and waited for 10 years ( i know other fans too 😅) Even though I hoped this book would come out somehow in my life, I felt like I would never reach this dream. I always thought Midnight Sun is Bella to Edward’s dark and cold world. Before he met Bella , he felt like he wasn’t living and Bella gave him the reason to live and joy of life. I always thought of the the name of the first book to be about Edward. My theory is that in the book there was a chapter and they were talking about twilight. Edward said he hated twilight because it was the end of another day and Bella said she loved it because you could see the stars. So I believe that they were talking about Edward and how Edward hated himself because he was a vampire and that was the end of his life or something. And I thought Bella was saying that she loved him and that she saw the beauty in him which was represented as the stars. But I love that there is a different explanation.

The pomegranate is another reference to the forbidden fruit, specifically that the apple is the newest interpretation of the forbidden fruit, pomegranates came before, and figs wayyy before that. I think it fits with the other covers in that it's a metaphor for Edward. He's represented by the apple in Bella's eyes. He's new, alluring, and misunderstood. The pomegranate is how Edward views himself, not as old and removed as the other vampires, but still nonredeemable and undeserving of Bella. I love the symbolism in all the covers, really ties the books together.

I never comment on videos, but omg I am SO GLAD I found your channel! 😍 I've recently fallen down the Twilight Saga rabbit hole again (i.e. rereading the series, reading copious amounts of fanfiction, and even writing some myself 😅) , and it's amazing to find such a Twilight-positive channel. 🥰 *subscribed!* 💖 Midnight Sun coming out is the greatest thing--we have been blessed. 🤗 I have mixed feelings on a potential sequel for the saga, though. Breaking Dawn ends so perfectly; it's a happily ever after and I love it. I feel like a lot of series get unnecessary sequels that have a tendency to leave a bad taste at the end. It would devastate me if that happened with the Twilight Saga. 😭 If there actually will be a sequel, I wouldn't mind the conflict of it to be focused on the Volturi coming back again (and how they are subsequently defeated once and for all). I don't want a love triangle and I don't want any family conflicts (I just want Bella, Edward, and Nessie [and Jacob] to bask in eternal happiness lol). As a fellow Twihard, what do you think?? 😊

Her new Chain of Gold is phenomenal! ♡♡ She's one of those authors whose writing so obviously and GREATLY improves with each book. :) Stephanie's like that as well, I didn't think I'd be as impressed with The Brief Second Life of Bree Tanner and The Chemist, however I was greatly impressed! And I LOVE myth retellings, Twilight is one of my faves for being a retelling of Hades and Persephone (ahhhhhh, the pomegranate!) :)

The Norwegian translation was "kiss of eternity." I hated it because it was too on the nose and the first cover released was horrible, a gumdrop bitten in half or something. like why not directly translate the title, it's not like we lack a word for twilight.

I cannot wait!!!! I've been a huge Twilight fan since 2007. I have moderate dyslexia and HATED reading lol for obvious reasons. But I couldn't put down those books. And when the movies came out...aww man. Those books helped me through so much in my life...loosing my mom when I was 17 back in 2009. She loved that I loved Twilight. Sje bought me Eclipse and got me a few posters lol. My grandma took me to see the first movie and my sister bought me New Moon on DVD. I still love it so much to this day.

These are my guesses for covers first twilight due to canteen scene and well bella being young and ripe like an apple new moon bella being like a delicate flower eclipse because the ribbon is like the shade of the volturi robes just a big guess and breaking dawn the chess is like the one thing edward would do with bella on honey moon Then you have life and death and well still apple as basic story yet green so it's slightly different well that's my guess and my guess on midnight sun would be cause edward always thought he was a despicable being so in ways he reflects how he sees himself

I actually read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner between New Moon and Eclipse. I’d already seen all the movies so I knew I wanted Bree’s perspective of the army before I read Bella’s and personally to me it’s the best order to read the books in. So many people overlook it entirely and never read it when in fact it crystallizes WHY Edward and Bella are so backward and rare in their world. Bree never even thinks of humans as more than food. It’s strange and unthinkable for her to even think of being intimate with them or really even being around them. She thinks (like all other vampires, especially her coven and the likes of the Volturi) they are weak, she notes that they can so easily be killed and wonders how Edward hasn’t killed her even by accident since they can break rock if they touch it a little too hard. They think humans are ill-equipped to survive and protect the vampire world. Bree allows the reader to understand a completely different (but actually pretty popular perspective outside our lovers world) view of Bella and Edward’s relationship and the vampire universe on the whole. And she’s only a new born. It’s an interesting perspective on the midnight sun title and I get it, but a midnight sun does actually exist. It’s pretty common in Alaska (where you’ll remember he runs off to after he meets Bella in the book midnight sun) The midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the summer months in places north of the Arctic Circle or south of the Antarctic Circle, when the sun remains visible at the local midnight. When the midnight sun is in the Arctic, the sun travels to the right, but in Antarctica it is left, unlike polar night. It’s actually gorgeous.

Great video! I LOVE twilight!! I have another theory on the title. I live in Norway, and during summer we have Something called midnight sun. Midnight sun means that the sun never leaves the horisont, it is light the entire day. I think the title represents how Edward never truly manages to rest, and how he is in constant fear of being exposed to who he truly is. Living near the polar circle for a vampire during the summer and experience midnight sun would be an absolute nightmare. I look forward to more twilight videos !!

Loved the video, please upload the cover explanations and title. I am Turkish and we eat a lot of pomegranate. The midnight sun cover pomegranate is cut in half, sliced open if you will. To me it represents that finally we get a look into Edward, who keeps his inner world so locked with a hard shell. Pomegranates are very hard you cannot bite into them. But once you cut them, the seeds are sweet and so manyyy! Hence, Edwards wonderful heart and soul and character

- I just loved how you pointed out how the cover reflects the main character as well as the title. Here goes what I saw on this cover: 1- The title could be a reference to Bella and Edward at the same time. Just like New Moon references the disappearance of Edward and Breaking Dawn the start of the life as a new creature for Bella, Midnight Sun could reference Edward's view of Bella: a ray of light still visible in the middle of his darkness, specially since a midnight sun is a phenomenon seeing close to the poles where the sun is still visible at midnight. Which enhances the point of being Edward's percepective because, if I recall well from the leaked chapters that we found on the internet, Edward goes North with the other group of vampires that doesn't feed on humans and are hiding from the Vulturi. So yeah, weather or not is still in the book, it could be a reference to that. 2- This is one is not mine, I just loved how in this comment section someone blew my mind with the fact that the pomegranate looks like the 2 larger cavities of a heart. This can be interpreted as "biting Bella's humanity" (a heart full of 'blood' that is represented here by the seeds leaking) and therefore his own temptation just like the apple represents temptation on the first cover. 3- Two bites: it was pretty interesting what you said about Edward's conflict. In my case I saw it like both of them had bitten the fruit. Not only Edward bites Bella (literally at the end and metaphorically by giving up to his feelings and going out with her), Bella also bites the fruit by wanting to go out with him, by wanting him more and more. Her feelings are rushing and feel almost obsessive (*cough* New Moon) and therefore it represents her temptation too. 4- Imagery related to the Greek mythos of Persephone: This is what stroke me when I saw the cover for the first time (I admit I might be biased by Diane Silvain's "Shadow world" saga but here it goes. If you read the story of Persephone you learn that she is the queen of the Underworld, married to Hades who gave her a pomegranate so, when Persephone was going to be taken away by Zeus in order to appease her mother Demeter, she would be bound to the Underworld because she had eaten food from there, and therefore Demeter would not be able to prohibit her to go back to her husband. I think the explanation of Persephone's story speaks for itself, but in case is still not clear: Edward accepts his feelings and decides to go out with Bella. In other words, his love, their relationship is the Pomegranate. If Bella bites it ( accepts to be with him forever out of love like Persephone) she will be bound to the Underworld (the hidden secret of the vampire world and its dangers). And this reinforces my interpretation of the two bites. Bella bites it by corresponding his feelings and Edward bites it by loving her and subsequently biting her literally like an exotic, juicy fruit (which is exactly how she is mostly seen by vampires because of her smell.) I like this because, if both of them bite the pomegranate is like sharing the same milkshake, they did it at the same time, biting the fruit of their tempting relationship that is going to bound Bella to worlds of vampires forever, but she wanted to bite the fruit with Edward... Anyways, I'm a hardcore doing analysis so sorry if it is too much 😅 I really loved the imagery for the covers.

I read them all in a week, and let me say it was the best week of my life😂. I found out about midnight sun 2 weeks before she made the announcement about the book release and I am so happy. I read the whole draft the day I found out about it and I was left wanting more. So I am so happy. I was only a young kid of 7 and my mam brought me to all of them, she loved the books. Twilight was such a big part of my childhood so I am so excited for Midnight Sun now. Also I love your interpretation of the cover.
