[Story 120] Black pepper(paminta) picking and using it for cooking! | Filipino Countryside Life

I harvested paminta(green peppercorn) at my friend’s farm. Green peppercorn plant is not common here in farms. Very few plants a lot of them to mass produce that’s why it facinates me to see green peppercorn plant for the first time. I sundried the peppercorn and used it to my cooking. Beautiful Filipino custom: Gayyem Ben did not come empty-handed when he asked favor to har- vest some peppercorn and do video, brought chilis and pineapple for the neighbor !!! Without demanding anything, the woman led Gayyem Ben to where the paminta is, and told him to harvest some. A sort of neighborly concern, and informal "barter" in the province. It's such a classic Filipino meal. 😭 watching this in the middle of the night, hoping that this can lull me to sleep and have verdant dreams, yet ended up hungry and craving for tortang talong instead. Dangg, I want to cook and try your recipe of adobong manok, too. Plus, the paksiw, we just had it a few days ago and craving it urghh. And wow, I now knew how paminta is made. We used to have that black peppercorns planted in my Grandpa's Backyard at the hill. Ang Akala ko nga Nyan dati ay bignay😅,paminta pla.. Tapos nkikita ko Nyan Lola ko dati sinasabit lng nia malapit sa saingan or pugon. Tpoz Yung berdeng bunga ganyan din binibilad Hanggang s matuyo..Thank you For this one ,it takes me back to the time when my grandparents are still alive😊. Been watching each vlog of Ben And Always looking at corners, edges of the images of the roadsides, swamps, streams, rivers houses. So far I don't see garbages scattered. Ilocanos have clean surroundings. They take good care and respect environment. Your vlog reminded me so much of my life here in our province. FREE vegetables and fruits of any kind t. We have varieties of rootcrops to harvest. Heck I can even eat durian for free knowing its price in the city. If we ran out of “ulam” we have ducks and chickens or my father would go to ilog to harvest some “takway” “gabi” and “saylan”. or he'll go fishing, catching frogs. Yeah sure city life is cool but province life hits different❤.
