[Story 143] Pick wild coffee in the forest, make traditional coffee from scratch

Thanks to the fertile soil of my country, wild coffee can grow abundantly in the forests. I picked wild coffee and made traditional coffee - barako. I started by carefully picking the ripe ones and removing the coffee beans from the fruit itself. After the seeds were removed it needed to be sun dried, removed the outer covering of the beans, roasted, and boiled to make coffee. Your are the only remaining blogger in the Philippines that portrays genuine rural life, which amuses me. I am glad that you never get tired of what you are doing. Other bloggers in the Philippines that do catch and cook seem to be fading away since our marine resources seem to be getting depleted day by day. In your case Addu ti agbuybuya pay. And I hope you will not run out of viewers and I invite my friends abroad to watch you. I also live in a rural area here in Batangas and we also have a small farmland but I envy you for your live and running rivers that provide natural and abundant fish. Our property is near a brook, which used to be a great source of enjoyment for me and my family especially when we were still children, but now it is dying due to pollution and erosion. Poultry and swine waste matters from a neighboring barangay have destroyed it to our dismay. More power to you Gayyem Ben. God bless.

When i was a young kid,my late grandfather used to have like this kind of coffee beans in our backyard,he was always pick them and cook for our every morning coffee,its his daily routin to picking fresh fruits and veggies,but when he died no more fresh coffee to drink,ito ung lagi ko namimis ,kapag nakakakita ako ng kapeng barako,😢
