Hey sweet girl, I'm old enough to be your Mom. Just discovered you and would be so proud if I had a daughter like you. Never was blessed with children but, gather joy off other's who are beautiful souls! My favorite part of your video's are when you stop, look up with your eyes closed and smile your lovely smile! It's a smile that we all are familiar with when we recognize "love notes" from our Heavenly Father. Every leaf, petal, ripple on a river, sun, moon, stars, whiskers on our pets..... all because of Him. Hugs from Florida! 💟

sue, coming from a mother of 10 children, you made my heart smile! Yes, it’s first and always forever about Jesus Love , and His Love is like No Other! He has been the Lover of my Soul, and I have needed His grace and mercy to carry me through life, mostly raising my children! And His gifts are always prefect!!! These days I’m so grateful for my Grandbabies that I tell them are all specially picked out of all the angels , Jesus hand picked them just for me and my family! Just wanted to tell you your comment made me stop in days of chaos redoing our old cottage, filled with madness of workers and kids and grandchildren walking in the mess, I read your sweet comment, and I stopped to see all Gods gifts in this crazy thing We call life❤️ I can’t wait to meet you when this is over, and Heaven is HOME….. Truly HOME. And I know all of my children and grand babies will just adore your sweet spirit! Praying always Jesus keeps you safe, because I know your spirit brings HIS good news , more now then ever before, because We are living in the Book of Revelations….. and times are strange , but We have that Blessed HOPE

There is also what looks like a heart rock at the 2:44 minute mark just center of the screen slightly to the right at the bottom. I have had a thing for rocks/stones since I was a kid, but I love exploring for heart-shaped rocks. You would be amazed at how many there are! 🤗 I so agree with you, I go to nature for solitude, not for crowds. I live around a lot of lakes and beaches and rarely go in the summertime. I am more likely to scout for heart rocks at the beach in the fall and winter as there is hardly ever anyone there. Lol Take care and thanks for sharing the gorgeous scenery.

Thank you for this beautiful video. I am one of your French followers... I completely agree with you: when something makes me feel bad or scared, or sad... I go out in nature, walk in the forest or along the sea or a river... connecting with nature is SOO POWERFUL for comforting..... thank you for reminding this to everyone.

I think you could post videos of nature with nothing but you playing music and you would have a lot of people just sitting and watching when they felt like you felt this week. Or even when they just need a dose of nature and can't get out - if they are sick or house bound or whatever. Girl, your nature videos are really healing. And I just plain enjoy you and your wee boho cottage, and Charlie and your music and your colours and dresses. That was a lovely trip into nature. Thank you. I feel like you do about making nature so "commercialized". The wilderness is no longer wild. Such a loss. But still beautiful. Have a really good week this week! Sending warm hugs from Canada.
@angelabay-jespersen6205Ай бұрын
It reminds me of that song about cutting down a tree to put up a parking lot or “they paved paradise and put up a parking lot“. It’s the commercialisation and the greed on one side and, with so many people visiting there are always some people who just don’t seem to care and will leave their rubbish. I don’t understand why everyone can’t just take their trash with them and throw it away when they get home. We need to cherish nature and protect it but it seems because most people want to be in nature the more pressure is put on it. It’s kind of sad. But, luckily as Kate said, there in the Hudson Valley at least some of the trails are long enough that you can get away from the crowds.

I live in Rhode Island in a converted mill (very cool industrial style buildings) and am fortunate enough to have a big patio that's on a river AT a waterfall. He is so funny he’ll pick up gum, and when I say Otis spit that out, he spits it out on the ground.😂😂 he’s never eaten anything in the house at all.. I know it’s worrisome. He is six now so when he grabs something from outside he gets sick I’ll just say I told you so, and then he is better in a day or two. Hugs to Charlie. I hope he feels better.❤❤ thank you for the scenic tour..me and Otis, Massachusetts

Nature is very healing. It's amazing the difference it makes to our mood instantly. I know exactly what you mean by the park changing and the serenity being taken over by man's busy footprint when you just want to be one with nature as the complete stillness envelopes your soul and you are able to hear your own thoughts. Nature is the best healer when you are going through a rough time. How many of our loved ones who have passed on join us I wonder as we walk. So sorry poor Charlie isn't feeling well. The wheel continues to turn. Spring will soon be upon us and our world's will open up again to all things new. Hugs and God Bless from Canada's west coast.

I am in my 40s now. But when I was a tween, I was the most depressed little girl. I have dyslexia and ADD. I did all the things with teachers, summer school and tutors worked no stop. Nothing was helping, and I was so unhappy. My Grandpa started coming to check me out of school randomly, and we went on amazing hikes in the forest where he taught me what birds were singing. What was edible. My Grandma would take me to beautiful rose gardens or the beach to watch the waves and collect rocks. To this day, when I am sad, overwhelmed, or even angry, I will take myself outside and walk and breathe until I feel like I can handle all my feelings. I love your videos and am sending you good vibes.

I love your gift to yourself and the world, ,Kate. I've just discovered your videos and am lapping them up every night. It's Winter here and seems fitting. You are so warm and open. I imagine you and your viewers being friends hanging out in each others kitchens and gardens. I used to have that when I lived in a country town in the 2000s and I sure do miss it.Amazing nature walk. I often wish you'd put a Google map link in or mention the name of the locale. I'm fascinated with maps and learning about places and looking up the photos on Google. I relate with what you said about how hard it must be for locals to see their favourite places over run by development. Made me think of the indigenous people all around the world who saw the land changed by colonialist nation's and were often removed from their homes by force. Here in Australia that has been devastating for all of us. Nature is not a commodity even though it's often treated that way by humans. It's an essential need. I love the nature in North America and have been wanting to venture over for a long time. You are welcome here in Melbourne Australia any time. 🎉

It’s funny how nature. Can bring us closer to god . Sometimes even the smallest thing can do that. Happy you can find peace. You seem to be a person who is always happy. Even though I now that is hard to do.

I too have a hard time reconciling myself to the development that comes with progress...it's good to be reminded of gratitude for the nature we can find as opposed to bemoaning the changes we feel are negative...thank you.

I was just about to comment that you should get those things that go over your boots that help on ice when you mentioned that you have them and will bring them next time. They're awesome! I so relate to you... I've just lost one of my cats to cancer and during the weeks of caring for him and now grieving him, I don't feel like playing any of my musical instruments. I just played one today and it is so healing. Once the temperatures rise (it's now 13 below!), I will try to go for a walk in nature. That will most certainly help my low mood. I hope your pup is ok?! HUGS!

Such beautiful scenery! I understand what you're saying about the overcrowding in the state parks. One of my favorites is in Greene County (NY) and suddenly people are setting up enormous speakers in their car trunks and the music echoes across the lakes... I prefer birdsong! 🐦

Another beautiful video! I loved how multi sensory it was. From the sound of the crunch of the snow to the glorious waterfall and breathtaking sights. May you find strength in what you are going through. Nature is definitely healing. I hope Charlie feels better now.❤

I live on a mountain just outside an incredibly tiny town in east nowhere. On the mountain, about 1/4 mile from my house, is a waterfall. People in the area love to hike and picnick there. It's one of my favorite early morning walks. During COVID there was a rush to nature. Suddenly our small, remote road was flooded with cars, full of hikers. They would park on our lawns feeling entitled to be there because we were close to the falls. Many visiters held us responsible for the lack of 'adequate parking' and expected us to have, and provide them with amenities. It struck me as such a strange experience. We, in my sparcly populated neighborhood, spent evenings and early mornings cleaning up debris from our unknown visiters. Eventually the state came in and built a commercial parking lot. In all honesty, most people are nice, at least they intend to be. The reality is that people often ruin things. Usually it's our very home, our planet. They don't get the connection.

Oh, I'm sorry : ( That story is a common one here in upstate NY. and probably so many areas around the world. It's sad because it's so wonderful that people want to get out into nature. It's just that they haven't been taught to respect it. Or others. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be when it's happening right there at your home : ( Many parks around here have now switched to requiring permits and advanced reservations ... and that seems to have helped with the trash and parking issues. I hope that it has also brought a bit more peace back to the people who live right in the area. And I hope the same thing happens in your neck of the woods. Sending big hugs❤❤❤❤

Your videos are stunning. Like you, I bemoan the changes to my beloved Outer Banks of NC & Gatlinburg TN. Far too many people seeking instant gratification & 24/7 entertainment. Thank goodness we live in the country!
