I live alone in a 100 year old home I bought in March. I've always lived in old homes and love them so much, but they do take ongoing work. Always a project! But even at 68 I am always trying and learning new things. It's wonderful experience and helps us live independently and feel capable of taking care of ourselves. Of course, we all need help with some things but if I need a friend or have to hire a professional I always watch, ask questions, so that I learn from them. I also ask for advise from knowledgeable people and sometimes I find out things I thought I needed help with, I can do myself. Much love to you Mia!

Hello Cathleen! Congratulations for you'r new home. It must be nice when it's so old. Old Houses are so good and so beautiful too. I have the same that i have learned so much in these pasta years and so many things have i done by my self that i didn't know i could. And of course it's good use same professionals when needed. So the tummies broblems could be the thyrouds, but several doctor had said it's not. Have to wait and see what the new doctor is saying. So sorry you have it hard with the thyroid. i do love the country charm your kitchen has already, with the wood stove & exposed pots & utensils, though a window over the sink would brighten it up too, but i can't remember what's on the other side there, always thought modern cabinets looked a little out of place in an old style kitchen, you might need to put lighter curtains up to get more light? i'm always changing my curtains with the seasons looking forward to the next part of your kitchen set up thanx for sharing

Hello Selina and thank you. Behind the back wall is the pond. It would be so nice to look to the pond from the window if there would be one. Maybe someday I will get it. It's always good to have dreams and then some of them can become true. I have veranda front of the kitchen window which I now have, so it's always dark in the kitchen even without any curtains. But when the sun is shining, it feel's so cozy inside with the light which is comming behind the veranda. Love the veranda. In the next story gonna be the veranda in it. Have a nice weekend. ❤

Mia, please be careful on the ladders. Since you live alone safety is of utmost importance. No one plans for an accident. Women’s upper body strength isn’t as strong as men’s. Do yourself a favor and get a small electric screwdriver. Love your little home. Very Hygge.
