You did a fantastic job!! I'm teaching myself to animate! I love how the cloud gets poofed away by the giant as it comes closer. I LOOOOOVE Hilda to death and you've made me realize I'm probably gonna cry when the beautiful into plays for the very last time....I'M NOT READY FOR IT TO BE OVER!

I love watching cartoons with my older brother. Watching Hilda is prob one of those dear memories that you only realize you have when time passes, for some reason. I can tell you and the team did a great job in the animation of the show, it’s all rlly smooth and the backgrounds are super pretty. Keep up the great work

I was so surprised you used Krita (I used Krita for a good chunk of time, but it kept crashing and had audio problems, so I gave up on animation for like a few months) so this really shows how well you did! I hope to see more videos from you!!!

Thanks, Krita's definitely not the winner for animation. I'm surprised I made it as long as I did, but it seems to be okay for little stuff as long as you don't want audio.

Thanks, and you're right, its pretty hard to use for animate. I'm perhaps not knowledgeable enough to make a tutorial on Krita, but I'd be happy to go into more specific detail about what I'm doing in an episode and what I do know about the program.

nice work!! keep learning! and if i can suggest you, i will suggest you to learn about in between , and how every animation studios had their own in between style, and it makes a low fps animation moves better than using the flat in between, cheers!

Just remember, that sometimes restrictions are there to teach you something too. If you go in ignoring or deliberately deciding to discard or ignore "rules" or "restrictions" of a project, then you don't learn how to work within limits. In the real world, when a creative director or animation director sets out rules for a shot, scene or overall project, those can't just be ignored, discarded or changed just because you think its dumb. You'll have to motivate WHY you went in another direction. So just keep in mind when you do go out into a working studio or even freelance for clients, someone has thought about the restrictions (mostly) and has put them there for a reason. When you're doing your own thing, by all means, fill your boots and go crazy. But working for clients, they won't necessarily appreciate you ignoring their briefs.

I was using krita for this one, I've tried toonboom and adobe animate as well. I think I like krita and toonboom the best right now.

So if you don’t mind me asking, what advice you got for a beginner artist like myself, I mainly wanna do cartoons and to get a a level that I can animate but right now I’m learning to draw the figures realistically. Would you say knowing the basics of figure drawing is a good way to start art? And where should I take it after that? Thanks.

@@Tekkenandgaming I wish I could give you some professional advise, but I'm in the same learning boat as you I think. I would say that approach might be right. I've seen a lot of different artists take their learning in different directions and at different speeds, it depends I think on which method helps you connect the dots best. Figures are great, and I'm trying to learn that myself, I would say its very valuable to understand. For animation, I would say based on my little experience, to try and get a grasp of timing first, my primary focus for this one was getting the distance between frames right for a smooth looking motion as opposed to anything else.

@@thedootcornerI have a few requests actually, for you to (potentially) pick from. 1. James and Jessie have a fight. In Season 22, James had a Graveler and Jessie a Machamp. These two settle their trainers' fight and wrestle with their four arms. 2. Grookey and Braixen have a stick fight. Not only do their wooden weapons clash, they shoot spells at each other, like Harry Potter dueling. 3. Very similar. Poltchageist and Kadabra duel with their magical spoons. Then in the end, they become cooking partners.
