7:25 I'd say one of the most important things I learned in army officer training is one of the biggest reason why NCOs despise officers is that they're not held to the same standard as the enlisted. Second most important thing is basically the same: rank doesn't put you above anyone, it just puts you in front of them. Officers are supposed to serve the enlisted, not the other way around.

You knew that it wasn't perfect or for everyone, but one day it would have its respective audience, even kids. Unlike so many phony motivational speakers, you are the real deal. My sorry ass slipped on some leaves while tying my rope off and jacked my neck and shoulder up really bad and had to go to physical therapy just to be able to turn my head left. I went in and signed up for the corp after and they said no 😢 now 8 years later I’m still fighting fire and doing my best. Grunts life with it’s dark humor honestly has brought a lot of humor that I needed. It have seen shit that I will never unsee or un smell. I am a paramedic who sees some shit, but nowhere near what you gentlemen have seen in combat. us EMS people have a very dark sense of humor to help cope with the things we see and just watching your videos and the dark humor just clicks with me and helps me cope with the stuff I’ve seen and I have turned a lot of my fellow co workers to VET TV and they all love it. We all have subscriptions to VET TV and if we are having a shitty day on duty we play your shows on the TV. Thank you for what you do and please continue to do so.

I was an army infantry nco, we did the same shit. If you couldn’t joke or make people laugh they would be fighting with each other. The roe was a joke. Our haa as hands were tied even when we see a shooter or ied implacer, we had to get permission to engage. A good friend of mine was facing possible criminal charges for doing our jobs. We were some of the last actually trained soldiers. When crossing an objective, we were taught double tap the enemy, dead or alive (it’s called clearing). Kiawas killed 2 ied implacers were shot with 30mm rounds. One guys head completely gone, the other may have been alive. He double tapped, they said we could’ve got information he shouldn’t have shot. Since all the other ncos had the same training we could prove he did his job. But because they (battalion) wanted promoted for info they tried to press charges. This buddy was an e5 he’s now a company 1sg. Don’t screw over your brothers for praise. AIR ASSAULT
