Brother, you have all my empathie, I just wanted to tell you that my experrience working in France and it seems unfortunately to be the same where you are : most of the companies do not seek the good for their employees therefore, to my opinion, you should not expect any compassion or human understanding from your hierarchy. In other words if you are a hen, they would only care about your eggs, and if the hen appears to be less productive, unless you are a hard to find special hen , they just have to thank you and change it. I think you reallly need to be aware of that if you want to draw all the lessons from this experience.
