Story Mode is a COMPLETE FAILURE in Super Mario Party Jamboree

Yeah I agree with you, this story mode was flawed, I guess its better than a simple "Minigame Island/Coaster" mode where you only play minigames one after other and thats it, but I think they really should have put more effort on it. Essentially this story mode is like Shroom City from Mario Party Advance, with the whole quest system but way more shallow, the reason why is that in MPA, you have to keep track of the mushrooms you have by winning minigames, to not run out of them, because if you do is Game Over, but in Jamboree, there is nothing of sorts since you have all the time in the world to complete the tasks and thats why they are boring and not only that the NPCs arent anything special at all, they usually dont have any funny dialogue or something like that; in MPA there are some generic enemies but all of them have something to say that is cool and thats why for someone that likes the game make me care about the characters. So in conclusion, my takeway is that Party-Planner Trek is a better single player mode than anything NDCube made after Mario Party 9, but it still isnt that great overall and compared to Shroom City, is very lackluster.

Personally I don’t care if it’s hard or easy just because I suck at Mario party, I’m really only good as platformers, and I freak king hate you don’t unlock characters from this mode, you just look on a island and get the characters, and I wish you got a dice and had to move that way, and the quiz questions were so freak king annoying, btw it’s not that fun and I just got all the boss fights at least have a good reward for you also why are the cpus so good at the boss fights, there like on hard difficulty but in the mini games the cpus are pretty easy, sorry this comment nearly makes you press read more

Yeah it was strange the unlockable characters were from simply zooming in. Unlocking characters has been pretty boring in more recent games.

I used to be such an avid Nintendo lover but lately these past few years I get so bored with the games they have been making and for Mario party jamboree specifically I feel like even the master npcs are bad.

I actually really love jamboree except for the story mode. I haven’t played against master CPUs yet. We’re planning a stream on this channel where we go up against them. But yeah the lack of difficulty is really a huge problem lately for me.

@@TheGameCubicle It’s contrarian because nearly everyone I’ve seen who played this game actually really liked the story mode. At worst, I’ve seen people who think it’s decent. You seem to be the only one who actively dislikes it.
