My late mothers maiden name was Ross, and yes her family came from Scotland. I live in NI with a lot of Scottish ancestry here.

My 3x great grandmother was of Clan Ross. She was born in 1788 in Nigg in Ross & Cromarty. She died in 1884 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her husband was John Campbell (1789-?). John was born in 1789 in Logie-Easter in Ross-shire.

From North Eastern Ontario, Canada, I am a descendant of John Thomas Ross, born 1863, He married Mary Kapasheshit in Rupert House, Quebec Canada, June 14th, 1886.
