Hi everybody, this is Milky. Today, I will share with you my gameplay on the very special game that I loved ever since I was young, Harvest Moon Friends Of Mineral Town remake for switch. I can't tell how happy I am to play this game. This is the first Harvest Moon game I played and the first ever handheld console game I played. I spent so many hours on this game, and it brings back a lot of happy memories. The remake is just released today, unfortunately, the English version is not released yet. But, I got the Chinese version, and I will translate it and share the gameplay with you. So let's get started and relive our happy memories together!

Nice! It works! Thanks a lot! As long as you do 10 individual purchases (buy 10 items exiting the whole buying menu each time) you'll get Van's favorite every day. You engage with the seller npc, you buy 1 item, you press B until you're not talking to him/her anymore and then repeat till you buy 10 items. ALSO, selling, say, an animal counts as 1 transaction.

I think she means that you have to buy the 10 items separately. Approach the counter, buy one item, leave the counter area, then approach the counter, buy another item, etc., 10 times. I think that's what she means.

hey i have confirmed things recently. About the exact amount of the purchases, it isnt quiet correct. i have checked the exact amount that i should make from by 1 by 1 (which still works) to buy any amount (that you said it counted as 1 item purchasing) to the exact amount of purchasing that i should do and this didnt work, any idea what happen?

Great video, Milky! But anyone else playing this on the Switch? Because getting Van's Favorite every day was working consistently about two (real life) nights ago, before never getting any more no matter what I do. I got up to 4 before selling them, and wanted to resume; however, it wasn't until this afternoon I finally got one again in the mail. So, naturally, I thought the counter was reset for me to keep track again, yet it's back to not giving me any more, no matter the proper shop/transactions. Anyone else having issues via the Switch with this? I did hear of a few hiccups for the Steam version for a few people, though I don't know if that was fixed or anything, since I don't have that version, myself. Cheers!

I'm playing on the switch and I have no problems with it whatsoever. I don't know how many I've received/sold, but it's way more than 4. You just have to keep in mind the things that do and don't count as purchases. I tend to grt muddled and lose track of my numbers when I've been upgrading tools or wrapping presents (both of which count).

I haven't been able to get it to work on the US Switch version, either. If it helps I'm on version 1.0.1. I think I'm going to give up on trying on this in - game day and see if I have better luck another time. Edit: I tried the next non-festival day and was able to get it to work!

I always wonder how people find out about the trick or a bug in any particular game. I learn that they were hack into the game code and read it. I think you can hack into the game code and see how you can get Van item or how many purchase count you got. Why don't you try to make a video about how to hack into a game code, so we can figure out how to solve all the secret or any bug in this game. You know like how did you know about this. LOL.

Hi Angel☺️Huang is usually a bit harder to become friend because he mostly like expensive items. My tip is go down to the mine in early game and give him gold ore daily, he loves it and you can befriend him very fast 💖hopefully this helps!

Milky so this was working for me for like three day than it stop, does it count against you if you already buy 10 items than buy one more? I brought 10 wheat flours than a bottle of oil and the next day I didn’t get Van’s favorite in the mail.

Yep, it will counts, you need to keep the number of total buys multiple of 10 when the day ends😊 So if you buy 10 and then buy 1, it's not multiple of them anymore and then don't be able to get Van't favorite item next day

Small tip is house upgrade or buying furnitures also counts as buying items. So if you did a house upgrade, you can only buy 9 items for that day😊

I confirmed this method still working, just increase the number of the bought item by one item, every time the mail did not show up, this happened because every transaction on the different shop was counted, so this method really needs you to do 10 transactions per day, the shop location doesn't matter as long as it was a purchasing transaction (buying lumber, upgrade house, tools, .etc) SELLING ITEMS WILL NOT INCREASE THE COUNTER !! if you do more or less it would not trigger, I currently play on the official release game on steam.. P.S Edited to remove some ambiguity

They have to be exactly 10 transactions. No more, no less. Otherwise you wont get it. Upgrading house/tools also count as transactions

Hmm, yep, it works for me daily. Sometimes if you lost track of the counter, you can buy one item and then got to sleep until you saw van's favorite item again

Yes it still works Remember, stuff like the house upgrade, tool upgrade, and such count aa purchases Just ALWAYS keep track how many purchases you do a day, to not get it out of sync again after your first try on getting the value to 10

Milky i want to share some information with you..in my case how to get Vans Favorite item..everyday is not the same pattern..like monday date 15 on spring i buy from market 6 times and go to sleep then next day i get Vans Favorite item..but when it change and i bought again 6 times item from market and then go to sleep i dont get Vans Favorite item...i dont know if u have problem like me..but its appear on my game T.T

I think is stop working any ideas? I'm on the switch lates update, I tried buying, 2,4,6,8 and 10 none work for me maybe it can't be done anymore.

It still works. You need to buy items in order. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. No skipping numbers, hope this helps.

The transactions need to be exactly multiple of 10 when you sleep, so yep, it will definitely not work with 11 transactions😊

I tried doing this trick and it didn't work. Either Nintendo patched this trick out or I'm not doing it right. I purchased one item, exited the menu, and purchased another item. I did it 12 times and Van's favorite never showed up.
