The biggest issue of the Ottoman Empire was that it never industrialized. When the steam engine was first invented in the UK, it was never really utilized in the Ottoman Empire. When coffee was first introduced to the Ottomans, authorities thought it was evil and dangerous. It was in fact illegal for quite some time to consume something that is today consumed worldwide. And when the camera was first introduced in the Middle East, our Islamic religious leaders thought it was another form of drawing, and thereby declared it haram. We used to be on the zenith of technological and cultural advancement, from the 8th century until the 11th. And Europe was lacking behind. In fact, Europe was seen as the place of barbaric people from the Muslim perspective. But at some point in the 11th century and onwards, Europe had overtaken the Muslims technologically. And ever since we haven't catched up with them. If you don't believe me, please look up the standards of living worldwide, or the standards of technology. We have some rich countries in the Arabic peninsula, but only because there is oil, thanks to the grace of Allah. There is no really strong industry in any Muslim country. It's only the US, Western Europe and East Asia.

You are correct about that brother. The Ottoman Empire had various reasons attributed to its downfall, including corruption among the elites, centralized power, rebellions, mutinies, and lack of modernization. Throughout the 1400s-1500s, the Ottomans were arguably the most technologically advanced empire (the first rifles called arquebuses were developed by the Ottomans, and they had access to powerful cannons that most other empires did not have) but they started to fall behind later on. The late sultans of the 1700s and 1800s realized this and tried to modernize and reform the country to correct the mistakes of previous sultans such as banning coffee (valuable trade product), printing press, disassociation from empire’s affairs, and giving the Janissaries too much power and privileges. By the end of the 17th century the Janissaries started killing sultans who tried to modernize one after the other because they were afraid of losing their status and being replaced by a more modern army. They started putting either incompetent, idle sultans, sultans who were mentally ill, and even child sultans who were unfit to rule. In the 1800s, the Ottomans tried to catch up but were in serious foreign debt, and disastrous rebellions across the empire The final nail in the coffin came when they joined the Central Powers in WW1.

Go do your research. Our prophet SAW said that after him there will be khilafa which mimics the prophethood ways, then when Allah removes it, it will become kingship of two kinds one after the other till Allah SWT returns proper Islamic khilafa when he chooses. We Sunnah believe that is when the Imam AlMahdi returns, he will be proper khalifa and people will ask him to be per our prophet's hadith on the topic. True Muslims will give him bayaa in Mecca when he appears. The Unmayads started passing so called khilafa in their bloodline and so did the Abbasids and so did everyone after them till the time of the Ottomans. They called it khilafa but that was just by name, it is actually kingship and not khikafa. As for the Ottomans, all the Sultans were descendandts of Osman. Do you think they were called the Ottomans randomly? Even Mehemed II the conqueror the Sultan (not khalifa really) inherited the throne from his father Murad II in 1451 (his second ascension). Now tell me was Abu Baker RA the father of Omar RA? Was Omar RA the father of Uthman RA? Was Uthman RA the father of Ali RA? The answer is no to all the above. Does that answer your question?

Hello fellow Muslim here. Ataturk stopped serving the Sultan beginning in 1919. He declared that the Ottoman Sultan was a traitor for capitulating to the allies and the invading Greeks. So he started his own army and went to war with the Greeks, French, Armenians and the Sultan's government. From 1919 un until he won the war in 1923 it was clear beyond any shadow of a doubt that he was going to kick the Sultan out of Turkey and end the Ottoman dynasty forever.

When America was discovered (from the European perspective), the Ottomans just began reaching their zenith. The exploitation of goods from America cannot be neglected, as it strenghtened European economy greatly and allowed for a better army.

Khilafat ended at the time of Shahadah of Hazrat Ali (R.A) and after that 'Malokiat' (the reign of kings) starts which literally destroyed the building of UMMAH gradually and was more focused on building the castles and adding more to their treasuries. . Don't compare the Just and holy reign of Khulfa e Rashideen with the tyrant kings except the few like Umar Bin Abdul Aziz (RAHIMULLAH) etc. May Allah bestow us again with the Khilafah as similar as the reign of Khulfa e Rashideen.

Selam, i really like all your videos, but for this one i really have to reply first off all it is heartbreaking to call mustafa kemal ataturk an evil leader. you may not agree, but to call him evil? i would like to explain some details, i really dont know if you care or not but you should. mustafa kemal was an ottoman luitenant. he fought for the ottoman empire. the reason why he became anti sultan and a nationalist is because he fought for +- 70% only against muslims. not one of any religious channel condemns the actions of the whole ummah but when it comes to us, turks and Turkiye, we are always the blame of everything ! I do not accept that, neither does any other turk. While we were fighting for hundreds of years the european powers, the arab world was trading with them. While we were without water and food, with spare guns and ammo defending the holy lands, the saud family granted power and drove us out. Do you know why Yemen is still poor and at war? because they always pledge their alliance to the ottoman empire ! now they still suffer because they did that ! count all the countries of the middle east, which one of them did side with the ottomans? you are explaining here that for hundreds of years the ottomans were the khalifat. So why did millions of " ummah " members attack their khalif? All the " fez " members you call, they took so many turkish lives, so it is normal to abolish the fez afterwards... And now you want everybody to believe that in an era where there was no internet etc a leader comes out and saves a country with one of the most heavy losses ever, fought whole his life against everybody, dismantles the khalifat and that is wrong? what would you have done? the ummah you are talking about killed and still wanted to kill you. It's quite shocking how skewed and far from reality this entire video is, there is to much to correct that's why I'll try to correct the ones of the top of my head. To begin with, the sultanate wasn't removed out of nowhere for no apparent reason, on the contrary you'd have to observe and study what happened during the period of the Turkish War of Independence: for instance you'll see how the empire committed treason against it's own people, conspired with the allied powers against Atatürk and our people, you'll see how some of the ulama ( research Atıf Hoca of İskilip, one of the traitors) started to release fetva's stating that "true muslims should side with England etc." therefore trying to entice the people to also backstab their own nation. By the way, that is also the reason some of the ulama was assasinated ( rightfully so). Subsequently, about the reforms I don't understand the backlash from the muslim community, We are Turks and we have a Turkish language, so why are you so pressed when we go ahead and integrate nationalism in our daily life, we don't have to use the arabic script. Also " Creating a shadow khilafah" is bloody absurd and not even remotely close to the truth. Fınally, I can't believe how many times I have corrected people on the hijab law; so again please guys, Atatürk NEVER fully banned the hijab, it was only banned in government institutions, workplaces. This was not against Islam since it also meant no clothes related to Christianity or Judaism, it is the law of a Secular state to seperate religion from politics therefore there is no malicious intent behind it. Calling Atatürk an enemy of İslam is ridicilous, it is quite the contrary when you realize he got rid of the ulama in the empire who abused their position and manipulated the masses for their own personal gain, he also worked with one of the well known ulama's of the time ( Hamdi Yazır from Elmalı ) to translate the quran to turkish and enable people to access it because our people don't speak arabic.. You can also research Atatürk's relationship with one of the head of the Religious Affairs ( the institution which Atatürk created, as well :) ) Mehmet Rıfat Börekçi. And so on and so on I could go.. to get more information brothers and sisters I can reccomend you the works of the two most renowned Historians in Turkish History: İlber Ortaylı and Halil İnalcık who have published substantial amount of information on the said topic and have given courses in the best universities all around the world.I hope this was helpful brothers and sisters, and one piece of advice If I may: Never rely on an Islamic Scholar to give you a history lesson, as I have proven to you it is full of bias and false information.
