How lust/desires destroy a person/Muslim ummah and when you follow desires/lust Allah doesn't help or support you!. Astaghfiullah Chapter (4) sūrat l-nisāa (The Women) Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation. Pickthall: And Allah would turn to you in mercy; but those who follow vain desires would have you go tremendously astray. Yusuf Ali: Allah doth wish to Turn to you, but the wish of those who follow their lusts is that ye should turn away (from Him),- far, far away. Shakir: And Allah desires that He should turn to you (mercifully), and those who follow (their) lusts desire that you should deviate (with) a great deviation. Muhammad Sarwar: God wants to be merciful to you but those who follow their evil desires seek to lead you astray. Mohsin Khan: Allah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away from the Right Path. Arberry: and God desires to turn towards you, but those who follow their lusts desire you to swerve away mightily. And who is more astray than him who follows his desires without any guidance from Allah (Sūratِ al-Qasas No.28, Āyat 50) In this verse following certain personal desires and whims is directly linked to being astray. In fact, it is the reason behind being astray. Desires can be a thick curtain over the eyes of the intelligence, refusing to let the light of wisdom in. It is interesting that this verse condemns those desires which are not in line with any guidance from Allah ‘azza wa-jall. This shows that there are some desires which incline towards good and virtue, that which Allah subhānahu wa-ta‘ālā has commanded. They lead a person towards truth and perfection. But it is the whims that are not based on any solid guidance which cause the downfall of the human being. Desires have been placed inside human beings so they may continue life on earth. Desires and emotions such as anger, love, attachment to the self, family, wealth, etc. all have a place and purpose in life. But sometimes these becomes excessive and transgress natural bounds. They take control of the mind and makes it submit. Men then loses the choice to act appropriately in line with his status as the khalīfa of Allah (swt). It is like the flood of desires, unstopped by any dam of guidance, sweeps him away. In another verse of the Quran, Almighty Allah talks about such people: Have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? (Q25:43). Desire, for these people, is worshiped, obeyed at all costs. Logic and reasoning have no effect on such people. It is not that there is something wrong in the logic presented to them. Rather it is because of the veils of personal desires which are a barrier. Certain desires can make a person so attached to something that he loses the ability to discern. He becomes subjective and is blind to the truth. That is because a clear perception of the truth cannot be derived when there are emotional attachments to wrong. Such a disease is a huge affliction to the soul. It is becoming common today in a world which glorifies and indulges in desires. Imam Ja‘far al-Sādiq ‘alayhis salām taught this Du‘ā to the believers for clarity of thought and to stay away from following desires: اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنِي الْحَق حَقًّا فَاَتِّبَعَهُ، وَأَرِنِي الْبَاطِلَ بَاطِلًا وفَاَجْتَنِبَهُ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهُ عَلَيَّ مَتَشَابِهًا فَأَتَّبِعَ هَوَايَ بِغَيْرِ هُدىً مِنْكَ Allāhummā arinil-haqqa haqqan fa-attibi‘ahu, wa-arinil-bātila bātilan fa-ajtanibahu, walā taj‘alhu ‘alayya mutashābihan fa-attibi‘a hawāya bighayri hudan mink. O God! Show me the truth as the truth so I follow it, and falsehood as falsehood do I stay away from it; and let them not seem similar to me, for if this happens then I will follow my own desires without guidance from You. (Bihar al-Anwār, v.86, p.120).

@Khwaab3 жыл бұрын
I´ve seen many a Muslim couple´s "How we met" stories and this one made me watch it through without feeling annoyed or, sorry, irked at how so many just imitate the vocabulary and the mannerisms of the bad parts of mainstream culture (not the good parts). First of all: MASH´ALLAH AND ALLAH HUMMA BAARIK. I don´t think people understand how extremely blessed they are if/when they meet their life-partner all on their own (AND you get married). No arranged marriage (and panicky parents who treat you terribly because they are stressed), no forced marriage with the closest cousin that your dad is forced to import to the West as a sign of loyalty to his brother, no hoping that someone will just discover you, no trying to think well of Allah swt while you´re going through year after year but hardly even coming across Muslims. Then when you do finally see a Muslim man, you see the brothers opting for and chasing non-Muslim women who give them everything without marriage. (And you are a virgin, wondering if there even are clean, pious men out there). Or you´re trying to find someone halaal online because the country you live in hardly has Muslims, let alone educated, on the Deen and serious Muslims, and you discover that it´s full of brothers looking for second/third/fourth wife without telling, entertaining several women at the same time, or just chatting for excitement while they have a wife and kids in their country (and they´re asking for questionable photos of these sisters that they´re fooling). People just don´t understand. It´s so easy for them to ask you whether you are married or not (hardly even before they remember your name), and to immediately put you into a category or say the annoying "Aaaw, it will happen sister" (while you think "Hold on, why aaaaw...I didn´t say that I´m desperate or that I have cancer"). Allah is everything in our lives, our pillar, our hope and GOAL...but the community makes you feel inadequate, unwelcome, deficient and the worst....weird or even sick. So I´m saying a big "Allah humma baarik" for all who are blessed by Allah to have a similar process as these two. The sister is so beautiful that if I was even a third as beautiful, I wouldn´t know how to behave. I don´t know what it´s like to feel pretty or attractive. I only know what it feels like to be respected by men, alhamdulillah for that though. I really really wish all the new generations this kind of ease in finding a life-partner. I make duaa for all of you to find it, because meeting someone the halaal way is such a big part of the life puzzle, and us Muslims growing up in several cultures and not having our parents on our side (cultural Islam), is such a jihaad in these Western societies. It´s like we have 2 enemies: The mainstream society hating us for being Muslim, and our parents constantly working against us and enforcing their cultural dreams on us. They are good with the sons, but with daughters...parents can behave terribly on a daily basis, giving badd-duaas and taking out faults in our looks and clothes, like you´re someone they´re ashamed of (despite having a flawless reputation all life....which isn´t expected of the sons, as they are always loved despite ANY haraam). It´s too late for my generation of women. We are the leftover women, the first gen that were born in the West (most got arranged marriage, forced marriage to cousins or settled with inadequate cultural men...while the rest of us are over 35 and still single). I don´t know any married sister of my gen who is genuinely happy. They all settled and are now just completely there for their children. They don´t have a life of their own, as a woman. You sit in their house and FEEL how they´re just surviving on autopilot mama mode. They´re like 2 business partners just running a household with the woman doing 85% of the hard work (some don´t even share a bedroom or the husband is addicted to online fitnah). We are the invisible women of the ummah. Our maqsad, I guess, is to support our ageing parents emotionally, practically and financially (because our brothers are mostly "busy" like men make themselves with the mainstream society) and perhaps be good aunties. And that is noble too, I guess. My deepest, most genuine duaas for the new gen. I really feel happy for anyone that finds love the halaal way. May you all find what we didn´t. May Allah swt bless you all abundantly. My greatest dream is to do something for my Aakhira before I die. I´d love to start a school in a poor country, so that when I die, at least someone will give me duaa and not speak of me as the weird woman, the badnaseeb, or the inadequate one. I hope they will connect my name with being dedicated to Allah. That would be the greatest honour.
@johnphil67223 жыл бұрын
Sister don't give up and always believe in Allah. There are plenty of righteous muslim men out there. There will be people who are on the truth until the day of judgement, so always make dua and ask Allah to bless you in this world and in the hereafter. Sister everyone in this world has a test, In Shaa Allah you will also pass your test. Pray to Allah because you will find peace through prayer. The prophet (SAW) married Khadija May Allah have mercy on her when she was 40 years old and he was 25 . Always ask Allah THE ALL MIGHTY for beneficial knowledge of islam so that In Shaa Allah you will attain happiness in this world and the hereafter.

I ended up marrying my cousin but my sister married someone from Yemen it was so hard for my parents to accept but they did at the end of the day but let’s just say it caused issues with relatives and sometimes my sister struggles because of the differences in culture but she’s happy and that’s all that matters. I wish that it could be more normal because at the end of the day we are all Muslims and all brothers and sisters and it’s not against our religion to marry outside your country. And I love how it highlighted how certain cultures only want marriage within their culture but that Omaya’s father gave Mohammed’s family a chance and their first impressions changed his opinion ❤️ it’s a great lesson. MashAllah, you two were definitely meant for each other. May Allah continue to bless you and your marriage.

Subhannallah. Syrians are the same. My family and I have been obsessed with trying to find a Syrian guy. I have finally opened myself to dating other nationalities, and I think I may have found the one, and he's Egyptian. Subhanallah, Allah really does know best. I am taking it one day at a time, and I am not putting any expectations in it, and I am leaving it in Allah's hands as to whether it works out.
