I was homeless with my 8 y/o a few years ago , I found a shelter that would take us and we clawed our way out , it wasn’t easy and I had to swallow my pride but as I write this I’m sitting in my own house my son is sleeping peacefully and in a few minutes I’m headed to work!! I remember when I was 23 my wife just left me and I had no where to stay. I slept in my car by Overtown infront of my grandma house for like 4 days because the people she was renting from didn’t like me in their house. After those 4 days though my moms freaked out asking me why I didn’t ask her for help or nothing like that and brought me in to live with her. I hated that I needed somebody for help but now I know the one woman that will always have my back is my moms.
@Staymadcompa4 жыл бұрын
Smoke On Opps major facts brotha! My parents will always have my back too luckily I never had to be in rock bottom but when I was 15 years old I had to work with my parents to help them in their humble business that eventually grew into a medium size corporation. The struggle between working and school helped me build character and mature faster in life. I now have my own home and own my business as a result from business experience when helping my parents out. I am so thankful for going through the struggle by any legal means necessary.

I know how that can be. I was homeless for a few months back in 04’...my cousin and I gave up our apartment so we could move to Cali, but the move didn’t work out. He moved in with his girlfriend and I was left to fend. I still had my full time job and luckily just about every single weekday for 3 months, my female peers/co-workers allowed me to sleep on their couch. I’m still fortunate till this day as they did not have to trust me staying with them. Only slept in my car about 1 or 2 nights through the whole dilemma. 20 years later got my own house, loving children and a steady income and a real estate investment business.

I was homeless for a little over a month and that Walmart parking lot was such a help. I used to park close enough to the store to catch the WI-Fi and just apply to jobs all day. I was already working but I wanted a second job so that I could just have somewhere to go all day. I live much better now than in those days and when I come across homeless ppl I never look down on them. The shit can happen to anybody.

I went through a patch like that sleeping in my car at night man; I feel you that shit is rough. Still angry about having to do that when my family would not lend a helping hand it sucks to be let down when you need people the most.

Dam I feel this story I went threw the same shit I have custody of my son he’s 19 now but this happened when he was 9 I lost the apt we were staying in I got approved for my new apt but It wouldn’t be ready for 3 weeks honestly I had a 3 bedroom apt my brother stayed with me before I had to move for 7months I helped him get his apt for him and his family ok back to when I had to get out my sister and her husband just got a 2 family house remind you they have no kids so I asked my brother 1st can me and my son stay for 3weeks they had an extra bedroom he told me no that the room was for his dog 🐕 ( I tell you no lie and I gave him money to help get that apt) ok so i asked my sister can we stay at the new house they only been there a week and had no one living in a 2 apt house they told me no so my son and I had to stay in a hotel until the apt was ready and on my life I helped both of them pay money to get there living situation right I told are mom about it she said all that stuff you did for them and they played you and your son In a time of need don’t ever speak to them again but me and my big heart I still helped them out to this day after I moved in my apt God has blessed me and my son we been here for 10yrs and working on getting a one family house #familyaintshit trust in God he got you 🙏

Been in that situation it sucks with my husband and four kids. That type of shit keep you humble no matter how much you GOT!!!! My sister did that to my husband to this day he can’t stand her. Now my kids are teenagers we make good money my oldest is only 18 and in the Union makes 18.50 an hr and gets a raised every time he completes a class. And as his parents we don’t ever ever ask him nothing. But to save his money. Our rule with our kids always stayed the same school or work you can’t stay with mom and pops for free. My kids are well taken care of and from Vegas ❣️
