After watching a bunch of these storytimes, I will now cave in and learn F&B.

The amount of respect and like friendliness you seem to describe between each player is so cool, though you might be oversimplifying the amount of "gentleman's agreements" you described made me smile

I also watched the Draw 4 interview with your teammate. It was really cool to hear about the transition y'all made to Kano and is kinda a testament to how skilled y'all are at Wizard.

I love the commentators talking about Peter's sideboard after he explained the special sauce and said pay attention to the broadcast it's gonna show it's strength LOL

Hearing the real rationale behind the "spice" that I heard you tell Matt is absolutely hilarious! Great to play against your team in the sealed event R1! I was the Maxx player who played your teammate and forgot how the cogwerx arms work =\

so the only time you're allowed to ask your opponent to concede is when it's only for BMing, cause no one is gonna scoop before decks are even known

Doesn't going Kano > Kano > Storm Striders work with both arsenal Lessons or Wildfire (assuming the other is in hand)? For Wildfire in arsenal line you just let Striders resolve first, play Wildfire from arsenal, do your hat to put lessons on top, etc. For Lessons in arsenal line you let Striders resolve, Hat the Wildfire on top, let first Kano resolve banishing Wildfire, play Lessons from arsenal off Striders retaining priority, play Wildfire (with whatever buffs if applicable), let Wildfire resolve and continue as usual. Obviously doesn't help you if you Striders first, but you can probably avoid this by just doing that ordering every time right?
@MajiinBae Жыл бұрын
I went striders - kano - kano. that was the issue
@timcasto9091 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, totally get that, you were sunk at that point. But I'm wondering if going forward doing Kano > Kano > Striders in both configurations of the arsenal would be a way to protect yourself from having to worry about which sequencing is correct for them. No worries if not, just a thought I had.@@MajiinBae

I agree rules are rules, but IMO that rule against respectfully asking or even implying a losing state for a concession is a bad one. It's 100% legal for a player to concede to avoid a draw AND it's generally in both player's best interests for players to do so ... but you can't say anything. I can just imagine players getting pretty salty when their opponent fails to see they've 100% lost and both player's get a "loss" due to time. The only way to avoid that is to play faster and call time on a slow opponent, but that can lead to drama as well. Nonetheless, good on you to request an appeal to the initial ruling.

Just show up! Find your LGS that runs events and let the players know that youre new and dont have cards. I guarantee they will hook you up

Ngl if your opponent doesn’t use a dice to indicate they have 2 action points it’s super reasonable to call a judge and ask them to rewind because you didn’t have complete information.

Maybe Majin was so in the tank that turn that he just forgot about the extra AP even when it was tracked/pointed out. Kano players can definitely get lost in their sauce lol

That concession rule is literally fucking nonsense. It has no place in a competitive environment.
