Public Restrooms are, always have been, and always will be the Temple of Melty Blood Players. You could bring a setup into a random Walmart and soon it would become hoast to all the 5 Melty Blood players in your state.

People think its only public restrooms but their perception of history is totally wrong. If anything it shows Melty on PC being accessible allows it to have tourneys and top 8s anywhere the followers deem it be comfortable. Be it a local Burger King (next to a plug), the middle of a parking lot (one of the Frosty Faustings events had a fire alarm trigger so they had to take Melty there) and even a local park and using the outlet that the vending machine is on. If the small Melty band can do it, so can other players with their games available on a portable medium!

Smash is obviously huge enough that a bathroom or Burger King might be too small unless the event is remote but I'm interested in how others can do given that Local Multiplayer is possible with a single system or multiple of them. It is similarly untethered and reminds me of Monster Hunter gatherings that I've seen on 3DS and how some games don't actually need multiple copies of the game for multiple systems to play locally (Mario Kart DS and 7 are examples).

In 2019, Core-A's videos were a big influence for me to start getting into fighting games and attending local events. Texas Showdown 2022 was my first major offline FGC event I've attended. I had a great time and managed to place into top 8 of my game of choice. While I'm still relatively new to the FGC, my experience with it has been very positive and I think as long as you enjoy playing fighting games then it's easier to contribute meaningfully to the community and be accepted than you might think. Thanks to Core-A for the great content and helping me find something that I love to do and a community I'm glad to be a part of.

Every time you upload a video, I instantly wanna buy every popular fighting game and play them and only them until I'm top 8. It's amazing how easily you're able to do this. Your editing, your metaphors, even your manner of speaking. You do an amazing job of taking away the fear and exclusivity-feeling of fighting game communities, and turn them into what they really are - bunches of friends enjoying a hobby that millions of people spend their lifetime savings just to see on a big screen.

I think this one video is the best and well thoughtout and articulated video on this I have seen. So much so I have recommended it to those at work who have no idea what FGC is. Just like to say, awesome content and a real insight. Really well structured and delivered content treating and talking to people who are often seen as 'immature' as adults and the complexity of the wider systems at work in what they love or have passion for. Awesome stuff and well done.

Your topic on community was freaking awesome, while i don't play tournaments, i always loved watching fighting tournaments online, playing the games and wathcing videos of pro players and youtube personalities of fgc. Your videos of fgc stuff are really cool, glad to be a fan of fighting games.
