What was a crazy experience you had living with roommates?
@lovefckz57163 жыл бұрын
Many but a short one was a girl with a kid, she started getting mad at me for shopping. I once came home and she said “ you can do whatever you want and I can’t” while sulking in the living room with the tv off. She constttaaannttllyytt guilt tripped me for being “prettier” which was on going. And once even asked me my days off so I could watch her kid. I got my own place and gave her 2 month notice. 1 month later I’m starting to pack some things and she acted shocked. As if I never told her and that’s when she started acting even worse the last month. At the time she needed someone to take a cat.. because I was moving she decided she was also moving. The cat was technically her sisters, the cat was there was temporary because the sister couldn’t keeep him at home, the sister begged me to take the cat. I had him for 6 months and had him fixed and everything. Her sister told me she wants me to keep the cat because her sister was living in a party house, and felt he was safer with me. They would even be partying on a Monday night. She texted me 6 months later wanting him lying that he was is and gave him to her sister not ME ..She flipped and threatened me. That was 6 years ago. I still have the cat and we became “cool” 4 years later and then she started randomly texting me asking about him and that’s when I blocked her.

@Hajerette3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! I’m sorry you went through that experience. One thing I did want to comment on coming from a medical professional, some people get super hypothermic or are anemic and actually get sick of the AC is below 70F or 75F (both in the USA and Canada). I think 71F is actually pretty cool and bearable. Even if it was 75F I think is reasonable. It’s pretty unfair to ask others to wear layers of clothes if keeping it at 71F is not unreasonable. Keeping the AC lower than that isn’t compromise it can be torturous for some. If she wanted it 85F or higher then maybe it’s a different story. Many places in the USA and Canada set the AC at 75-76F to be reasonable for everyone.
@ximenagarcia89183 жыл бұрын
yeahhh i always keep my ac at like 75 so 69 was kinda unreasonable
@vangiegrl55372 жыл бұрын
For real!!!
@Merryyy2032 жыл бұрын
If I understood correctly it was not very comfortable for the other three, even if it was just by a small difference. So the other person can put on an extra layer, or? It's not like she had to be in the house with a winter coat. I don't think it is too much to ask. Also because you have to pay to heat a place and it would be a good way to save up some money.
@Hajerette2 жыл бұрын
@@Merryyy203 People who are super hypothermic or anemic can actually get really sick so sacrificing it to accommodate 2 people’s slight discomfort can be a detriment to their health. 75F is fine. It’s not like the AC is at 100 or something really high. A lot of public places already have the AC at 75-77F too. So it’s not something bizarre that is being asked. 66-68F is actually cold so I am not sure why they all couldn’t compromise at 72-75F or something reasonable in between.

She could of got a space heater but know that can be a fire hazard and add extra to the electricity bill but before all that check refrences before you accept a stranger into your place.

Just found your KZbin channel by watching bad roommate stories and OMG that would of been extremely hard to deal with 😔😔 I mean honestly I'm from Australia and the heat can be extreme! Like maybe she could of brought some long sleeve shirts and pants so she wouldn't have to turn up the heat! 😔 I probably would of lost my cool 😅 like seriously is she from Australia or someplace that is extremely hot? Who knows really! I'm actually enjoying your content and thought I'd subscribe as you are extremely good at storytelling 🤗💟☮️💜🎉🐢 Okay I'm going to share a very interesting story that was an eye opener: I've never had to deal with roommates before but I remember working for a company called Executive Apartments which I actually really enjoyed as a housekeeper, anyway some apartments were really lovely in the city CBD area and in other locations but in Northbridge, well there was this one apartment complex that we would have to clean and well let's just say it was an eye opener 😱 There was some that were nice and not to messy which was lovely but then there were some rooms which I cleaned and I was in legit shock. There were used needles, empty beer bottles, smudging on the walls and mirrors, bent spoons with resin on it, costumes left behind in large black bags, food everywhere, used electrolyte packets, cans of red bull and used things which I won't say 😅 Come to find out, there were women of the night living in the rooms, I mean I'm not trying to judge at all because I have worked in strip clubs so I didn't really judge and we also cleaned very high up women of the night apartments which were actually spotless and they were very welcoming so I respect that, like "girl you do you, earn that money if you need". Unfortunately these other ones though, I was like OMG instantly triggered my OCD 😂😂 we always worked with another housekeeper and OMG the chick I was working with, she was like "dude you don't even know how many of these apartments I've seen before working this job, it's an eye opener for sure", I was like, we need to DEFINITELY go and get bigger rubber gloves, hand sanitizer, the whole nine yards! Hazmat suit, fallout style ya know 😂😂 Anyway when we let the office know about the state of the apartment, we had to take photos of everything and so on. The office got into contact with these women and asked them about the state of the apartments and obviously the drug use and of course the workplace they were in! there is actually a legally licensed brothel which is across the street from the strip club I used worked at so it is legal if you work for those companies but I think it's illegal when they are just running the streets or something. Okay so back to the story, one of the women said "yes they are needles but it's for my insulin and I have diabetes so that's the reason why I use them", I'm sorry but girl, there were over 50 uses needles in that apartment over a 4 day stay they were in! I mean seriously? 😅 Yeah sorry about the massive random storytelling! I thought I would share some interesting things I saw while working in the cleaning/housekeeping industry! Very interesting stories 😂 Anyway hope you are having a lovely day/night! Also I hope everyone else in the comment section is well and staying safe during these hard times with the state of this world! Much peace and love 💜☮️💟🤗

Honestly this sounds like my current living situation with my brother back home. He's always kicking the AC down and my mom and I freeze. My dad just worries about the AC unit keeping up and not breaking down on us, so he wants the AC up and not kicked down. We fight so often about it. Like, I shouldn't have to bundle up just to live in my own house. It's basically the opposite of your situation. My brother just needs to keep his fans on and he'll be fine. We did compromise with him and kick the AC down a couple degrees from where we had it. So no one can say we're not trying. And the thing about your body tensing every time you hear her door open, I feel that. I do the same thing when I hear his door open. It's not healthy to live in that kind of environment. I'm glad everything worked out for you in the end.

The first time I meet my roommate, I have open his room door.. And what do I see?.... The big bad wolf...! My roomate: Do you have seen the message on my door?" Me: "No, I'm nearsighted, but now... I got back my sight" The message on the door: "There is no lock, So, please, Knock or you might see Co**" Now I have my own house and you can lock the doors.
