This thing that absolutely crushes me when you do story times is that it’s so easy to be picturing “lil lex” as like 15, 16, even 17 sometimes especially with the situations you’ve been in and the people you’ve been around. Knowing that you didn’t even have your oldest until you were 14 (if I’m remembering correctly) puts into perspective how much life you were forced to live so young! I appreciate the fact that you take accountability for your actions/reactions but literally when you say YOU WERE JUST A BABY!!! that’s the absolute truth! It makes me so sick that you were literally out here fending for yourself so young! At the same time so proud at what you grew up to be!!! You had the perfect recipe to have gone a whole different, bad direction and end up just as toxic as everyone around you. Look at what you’ve done instead!!! Look at the example of a woman and human being you are for your kids. Unlike baby Lex, they have someone to look up to and be so, so proud of!! I have rheumatoid arthritis and it’s tough. It suck’s that my body is destroying itself. Drs keep telling me I’m too young for surgery. For the next hour I can be out of my own head, thank you.

It’s the fact that the peaches have the money and the home to take you in if they really wanted to, they could have changed your life and you could have taken care of their kids for free like a big sister. I just don’t understand how anybody could look at a child and their circumstances and not try to help especially when they were able to. it may have been a lot to take on a child, but how could you live with yourself knowing that you did nothing about it or in fact made it worse? That’s just crazy, I’m so sorry you had to go through this, I’ve experienced a lot of trauma as a child to, and I sympathize with you. So much love going your way. ♥️

OMG Alexis the way your relationship is with your mom and grandma is me till this day and I am 41. Nobody will ever get how or why we are because they are both great with everyone but with themselves and me. It sucks. I was the only girl with 3 boys and like I mentioned till this day it's the same way. It's very hard for me to even know how to love and I have a daughter and a son. All the things you were taught about a marriage and told about I was told the same and I'm married. I really give all the praise to God for blessing me with a husband who somewhat understands me and kids who still love me. Don't get me wrong I love tf outta my kids don't treat them half the way I was treated by my mom, although at times I can revert to what I was shown how to to be with your children; I do also check myself and remember to that it is not ok to be that way.
