You have truly said that the lessons from the story of the churning of the ocean of milk are numerous. See the way the Ultimate Truth works. This churning resulted from Indra's loss of all power and grandeur as a result of Sage Sukracharya's curse. That was God's way of instilling the realization that pride, ego, arrogance will ultimately result in doom. It was, again, the same Sukracharya who was responsible to cause Bali to have to shed his ego, pride, powers by bringing him to his knees and bend before the Almighty. Pranaams Swamiji ,.. Nice ending chant.... The meaning of 0 and infinity :) Why is Lord Narayana / Vishnu appearing as being a little deceitful or cheats asuras... shouldn't he be playing fair game? Of course, from a symbolic pov (Ida pingala and Samudra manthan), we all want Narayana to protect us from bad energies. But sometimes I feel some fairness is missing (in my understanding that is) when these inner meanings are not understood and from surface level. Also, if asuras also chant Vedas and are good, why are they demonic and how do they lose their proper mind? How come the Vedas themselves don't lead them to dharma and protect them?
