ya know the point of rehab, why so many people end up there time and time again, is to teach you that your sobriety is on you. It's all on you. Every single day you have to be strong enough to make the choice for yourself to remain sober, no matter what else is going on in your life, even when it gets hard, even when people abandon you, even when you're tempted. Your sobriety is your responsibility. So by not going to rehab and instead finding a person to place the weight of his sobriety on Rich is pulling another classic move of the addict to avoid accepting responsibility for their lives and truly doing the work to get clean.
