I'll tell you why I loved mid-late 90s WCW (especially Thunder)....because the matches were short and the segments took up the time. The storylines ran the show and they had short matches after the segment. I can't stand watching Collision and Dynamite bc its all matches with the same concept, lots of high flying and false finishes, it's way too predictable and long. This is why Russo is my guy, he knew how to keep the fan from flipping the channel. Gimmick matches that were entertaining, short matches, segments, interviews, etc etc. This is also why I fell in love with UFC and MMA. I know the fights are 15 minutes tops, it's unpredictable and entertaining as hell. I loved boxing from the same reason but 12 rounds can be hell if the fight sucks, at least in MMA if the fight sucks it only last 15 minutes.

1. Cornette and Meltzer fell out around the same time he and Jericho did - 2 or so years ago. The reason he fell out with Meltzer isnt really exclusive to one specific thing, but his antics on twitter and his AEW blindness are a large part of it. Cornette feels Meltzer has lost his mind. They never agreed on everything, but Cornette at least considered Meltzer an accurate wrestling historian until their falling out. 2. How did Dutch and Cornette get along so well/why does Cornette seem to love Dutch to this day? It seems their wrestling ideology is way off. Cornette will talk about how awful Plumber Moxley is and how he and Shafir dont make sense, and shouldn't be put together; where as Dutch seems to think its a perfect fit. Thats just a single example.

If I was in that match and had seen that needle, it would have instantly turned into a "shoot" and some dirty rat fighting would have taken place. AEW's talent does not understand the concept of the "hit and miss" psychology. If you grab a baseball bat or a tire iron and hit someone with it for real, they are NOT getting up. They will either be laying there out cold or crying something fierce and you'd be in the back of a cop car handcuffed. But using that kind psychology in a wrestling match, you've got the fans' attention especially when you try to hit them and miss and it's even better when you miss and hit either the steps, the announce tables, the ring post or the best spot the guard rail by the fans.

Although then again, it's making Nash more relevant than he's been in 20 years in WWE and that's what they all aspire to, so Logan might be winking at Kevin saying "wanna make a little money with me, big man"?
@geedee12642 ай бұрын
Oh just listened to the full thing, yeah he just buries him 😂😂😂 Nash has had that coming , Paul said boxing was gonna be his sport but he lost to a guy who plays FIFA on KZbin because boxing is a real combat sport and he's not a boxer (His brother hasn't fought anybody you could call an active serious professional boxer either, but has shown more talent at it and is genuinely putting the work jn), as a performer he's been doing it since he was a kid, as well as athletic stunts (Who do you think Jake learned it all from?) so WWE was always gonna be a better fit
@boraonline70362 ай бұрын
Talented or not, one is part of the wrestling business for how many years? And the other guy is a youtuber who behaved like a complete jack a** in japan which had it's pinnacle that he poked a dead body and showed a maximum level of disrespect. In wrestling they ALWAYS talk a lot about respect, and then they let THAT guy in! IDK how many talented athlets WWE did reject, just because they didn't have a name on the internet!

The pathetic thing is Nash even on his podcast still claims him and the kliq never did anything wrong to anybody. Not even a shred of integrity or morals with that piece of trash.

@@boraonline7036 Nash was succesful in the 90s and that's it. And even then, it was because of other talent that he ever mattered.

Never enjoyed Kevin Nash in the ring or on the mic. He's so slow and lazy and his matches are the drizzling shitz. Prob good for his health longevity but honestly I can't remember one match or thing he did besides NWO that was even remotely exciting for more than a minute. Even NWO got really boring fast! What was his biggest match? The fingerpoke of doom? I rest my case.

Probably would have been good for him if he wasn't a drug and alcohol abuser. Everybody around him dies of that crap he still acts like it's good for you.

did you say besides the NWO? Why would you say besides the biggest thing to hit wrestling and rival the WWE during the late 90's? The angle that literally saved wrestling at that time and started the monday night wars, literally some of the greatest and highest grossing wrestling of all time? He was just one of two of the main people that started all of that. Why would you give him credit for that?

Not really saying much. Wrestling today is the shits. And so was Nash's wrestling ability in the 90s. He had less moves than Hogan and even less charisma.

I had a little plastic wrestling ring with several figures to play with as a kid. Tony has real ones to play with. He seriously needs a booker. Swallow your pride TK and admit you can't book. The money he's thrown away could feed people in these crappy times

Its fine to point out AEW's flaws. They have them. Thing is, you guys never mention the good things. The stories have been solid for the last two months, ALL Out and All In both had storylines going back for months. The booking is better, fewer of Tony's "fantasy booking", and the talent is just as good as WWE. Plus, the PPV's have always been solid. You guys never mention this, you only point out the negative. Thats why Meltzer is pissed. He's right. (sorta...as much as Meltzer can be) Too bad his own idiocy gets in the way whenever he speaks, even when he actually has a point. Meltzer doesnt do AEW any favors.
@Backwoods_Squatch2 ай бұрын
Ok, I have to add this. At 1:06:13 or so, Dutch says "Someone should take this to Tony Khan. I think they've improved a lot in a short time." YES! THANK YOU DUTCH. My problem WAS that you guys dont mention the good, just the bad. Meltzer is still an idiot, but thank you for giving praise when its deserved. I hope this trend continues from AEW, so you can keep also pointing the good AND the bad.
