Gary Hart did the same thing to Abby in Atlanta. He told him it was a two out of three falls match against Mark Lewin and Mark was going to win the first fall with his sleeper. Lewin put it on the butcher and put him out,bell rang and he left. Gary did the old wake up routine on Abby and Abby asked where Mark was and Gary told him you are the only mark here. Very creative way to get him to lose clean like he never would do on TV,or anywhere

When dutch says nobody else can replicate that adoring fans / lights going down when you enter the room / etc feeling... I actually worked for a sales company that was able to do something similar... not the same... but very similar. We literally cut promos on other sales people that would air on the large monitors around the building, had championship belts... feuds and rivalries... and pretty much not a day goes by that I don't think about that place. ...so I can only imagine how it must feel to be a wrestler and lose that.

Abby said that he had five percent of the office in WWC. I believe that monsoon had 40 percent that would have made him the majority shareholder and deciding vote. Eric Embry said kind the same thing that Little Victor was brokering a deal between monsoon who was his father and Brodie. With Brodie and Little Victor's share they would have been able to control the company and Carlos and Jovica weren't about to let that happen. Rumor was that Monsoon put up the capital to buy out Lester Welch, Eddie Graham and whoever else owned Puerto Rico and and Carlos and jovica got a piece for running it.

Makes sense in the early days most promoters did both boxing and wrestling. Cal Eaton and Eileen Lebelle,the McMahons, Don Owen and Tony Stecher all promoted boxing. The corporate name of the AWA was the Minneapolis Boxing and Wrestling club.

I'm of the perspective that growing older is a gift that not everyone gets, but with that said, it is a bit sad to see certain wrestlers who can't let it go and carry on in the ring for too long. Ric Flair, Terry Funk, and Jake Roberts are among the worst offenders - all once great, but time catches up with all of us, eventually.

Ricky Steamboat and Sam Steamboat were not related. Ricky stated on the Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw pod cast that he never met Sam Steamboat. Eddie Graham gave Ricky the name.

Dutch when you get to the point of having to take 10 percs to start the day. You hate life because you basically have 0 quality of life. I was born with Spinea Bifida. I’m in pain every second my eyes are open. But my pain Dr has helped me manage it. It will never completely be taken care of but the point of pain management is just getting it to a tolerable level. I take multiple oxycodone and use a fentanyl patches that lasts 72hrs
