A south Jersey childhood staple!!! I LOVED this place as a kid! The creepy animatronics bring back lots of uncomfortable memories. The last time I was here it looked pretty run-down, but it appears they’ve cleaned it up a bit since.

My parents took us here in the early 70s. I remember the pumpkin coach being white, wrought iron. It was horse drawn through the park with a live Cinderella. I also remember a slide coming from the second story of one of these buildings. What I remember most is getting my head stuck in the electric window of our Chrysler, in the parking lot. I just wanted to see what would happen. Put the window off the track and made my dad really mad. Thanks for the memories.

Unbelievable!....l am 60 years old now and remember my parents taking me there many times when l was very young. Of course l don't remember the actual details of inside the park now. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. There also seemed to be a place called Adventure Village in the area. For some reason that name comes to mind. Great to see that some Americana still exists in the world.

i was so excited to see this in my recommendations, this was such a big part of my childhood! we lived relatively close so i came here a lot with family friends. i remember getting into the park and immediately running to "bubbles the coaster" ... it was seriously the best ride ever when you're only 3 feet tall haha. i don't know if it still does, but the reason it was called bubbles was because it would blow bubbles when you rode it :) i also loved the alice and wonderland part and going through the card maze. so great to see its still popular :)

OMG......I'm in tears watching this one. I would take my children here at least 3 times a year during the summer. We would buy a reindeer in the gift shop every now and now again for years until we had 8. My son is now in his 30s and my daughter is 25. We now live in Florida but every Christmas we display our reindeer and talk about all the many good times we had there. HALLOWEEN and Christmas is great there too. My daughter and I always talk about getting a "North Pole" here to hug as it is so hot in Florida. THANK YOU for the trip down memory lane. You made this old chick cry. You need to go to the Cape May Zoo if you are in the area. It's amazing and free! We would also do a lot of day trips into Philadelphia to all the museums. I'm feeling really old right now.

This is a really cute and sweet little theme park, a remnant from a simpler time before places like Disney and Six Flag dominated the theme park business, and kids were entertained more easily than they are now. However, I was a bit surprised by all the Christmas stuff in the middle of summer. I guess that, at those storyland-style parks, year-round Christmas displays were probably pretty common!

Another fun fact: Dunder and Blixem are the German for "Thunder and Lightning." When I was little, I'd imagine the two of them play-fighting in the clouds during every storm.

I live like 25 mins from Storybook Land. We took our sons there a few times. We were always happy when we left. But that was 25 years ago. They’ve added a lot.

Carpetbagger, if you ever find yourself in Oregon I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest visiting The Enchanted Forest over here by Turner, OR. It was made back in the 80's by 1 man and it's been a childhood comfort spot since I was a small kid! It's super cute and whimsical and right up your alley!

Reminds me of Story Land in New Hamshire. Don't know if it's still open, but my parents took me and my sister there year after year when we were young.

This place is old but absolutely legit. For kids 4-9/10 it is awesome. The layout is bigger than you would think. I had many Bdays there as a kid. Singing and cutting my cake at the big birthday cake with family and friends

Phil and Phyllis - at 11:59 - were mascots of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, back in the day. They have been replaced by the Phanatic, a giant green furry anteater with purple eyebrows.
