Don, as you may remember in several of our chats - my husband and I heard both you and Christine Lavin for the first time when a beautiful soul named Carey Carlson from Detroit station 94.7 hosted "Sunday Morning Over Easy" and went off script to play obscure/non mainstream artists that she had come to love! Without her choices back then the audience (including us) may never have heard of amazing artists like yourself on mainstream radio. From what I remember she was fired from her job for vehemently REFUSING to give up playing artists that were not "part of the pre arranged pay/for play system". I was so proud of her but was heartbroken that we didn't get to hear our "new found" favourite artists on Sunday mornings any longer. So once we had internet access ... we FOUND you ... and have followed you across the states from Michigan to Massachusetts - to the DELIGHT and profound LOVE and respect for your talent!!! You truly are one of a kind ... and for those who have not listen to your entire catalogue - nor read your books - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND they take the time to do so now. We now spend the summer in a seasonal campsite and have often pulled up your "story telling" songs to play to an audience who often gather organically around our campfire singing and entertaining for the love of music. Most had not yet heard your music and without fail ... once they listened ... you gathered more avid followers. THANK YOU from the bottom of the HEARTS of your #1 "Canadian fan club members" we send you DIAMONDS by the thousands! Thank God for you!!!

Thanks Don. . you are an incredible story teller, song writer and performer. . . I am so glad I found you 30 years ago. Your music is incredible and evokes so many emotions with just the right amount of humor mixed in. My days are better when I listen to your stories and songs. I have introduced my 5 year old granddaughter to your music and she has asked me to please take her to one of your concerts, which I will definitely do next time you are in Michigan🙂
