Thank you. This explains what I've struggled to verbalise about why I love the HSM series. People who haven't watched the trilogy too easily dismiss them as throwaway films for kids, but there's so much artistry going on and the concept of the song being part of the story is a unique style.

Really interesting. I’m one of those people who just grew up knowing he did some DCOMs, so I didn’t think too much of his work. Only now, after becoming absolutely OBSESSED with Julie and the Phantoms, am I recognizing his skill. An insightful analysis!
