Okay, it needs to be stated that you are an absolute champion delivering this presentation in spite of the screaming kids in the background. So poised, so confident. You're an inspiration to all of us working parents.

You really know how to get your audience glued and engaged in your presentation. That was a very practical and interesting approach used in explaining data visualisation. I learnt so much. Thank you!

Hi, Cole! I watched a bunch of your videos (the first was the Google Talks one) and also got your book (thanks Amazon!!!), which I am really devouring right now. I work in a public safety organization in my Country (Brazil), and I am used to see numerous charts and graphics that are mostly dreadful and fail miserably to bring useful information. Your line of work really impressed me and I think we can use your lessons to improve our data visualizations. Congratulations and I hope to see more of your videos on the near future.

I'm a database developer and really close to data in general but had no idea of how to present SQL query results in a captivating way. Your video has opened a whole new world to me on Data Visualization. I will be seeing more of your videos. Thank you very much!

Thanks for taking the time to watch, and we are so glad you found this video insightful! It's amazing how with a bit of time and thought, you can truly transform how you communicate and drive action at work-even query results. Since you mentioned you are new to this space, you might enjoy our YT mini-workshop, which illustrates key principles for designing more effective visualizations. kzbin.infoHfx1X9WSGYQ?si=vOGor7gR2J97DW_d

I’m sorry Cole. Now I do know who you are. Not just (a great) KZbin algorithm suggestion. I watched a few more of your videos. One on the talk at Google, etc. Super. Nice. Like. Again, thank you for it all. People in my circle hardly seem to read books any more. If you rendered your book into a video, and placed it behind a paywall, I’ll gladly recommend it to my circle of family and friends. Thanks.

Awesome. Without any doubt the best explanation about the use of color in data visualization. I just bought your book in iBooks and I'm literally going to squeeze it out. Thank you very much for your excellent work.

Shocking how much difference the various colours made to the generic graph.

What tool do you use to make these visualizations?

All of our visuals are created using standard Excel and PowerPoint. For some tutorials, check out our 'brute force Excel' blog posts here: www.storytellingwithdata.com/blog?tag=Brute+Force+Excel

An excellent lecture and teaser for your book. It worked. I just order it along with one other visualisation text. If it is in your domain please consider a lecture on interactive visualisation. There are many platforms for interactive visualisation (e.g. www.wolfram.com/cdf/ ) and I would love to see a lecture specifically addressing a few pitfalls and recommendations.
