We need more of these stories!!! I think some of my worst customer service experiences have been when girls working very obviously flirt with my boyfriend right in front of me. Like come on have some respect!! One girl even reached over the counter and touched my boyfriend for no reason when I was standing right there next to him. My worst customer service experience was in Belgium, me and my family were driving through to go to the Netherlands (where I live) and we stopped at a gas station to use the restroom the lady behind the desk first gave us very dirty looks when we walked in, my dad asked her where the toilet was she told us there wasn’t a toilet even though there was one in the corner of the store, when we found it my dad asked her why she lied and she said that she didn’t think we were prepared to pay to go in (it’s literally 50 cents). I sure took my time in that restroom that’s for sure.

I hate people. 😑 Sooooo, I went into a store, looking to buy some bandanas, because they are a staple piece in a lot of my outfits. I walked in and couldn’t find them, so I found an older man who worked there to help me find them. He couldn’t find them either 🙄, so he found a younger, female employee to help us. She started to lead us there and just before we got there the man goes, “If you’re buying gang colors we can’t help you.”......EXCUSE ME WHAT SIR?? (I’m mixed race btw, super light skinned, but I look black still. I was wearing black jeans, combat boots (nice ones), a flannel and a Star Wars shirt, of course I’m a gang member), so I did what you did in the Starbucks one and kind of just laughed it off. Tbh, I couldn’t tell whether he was joking or not, he wasn’t really smiling until after I laughed and said “Umm, no.” Even if he was joking, though, I feel like that was an innapropriate thing to say. Like why would I be buying gang colors, because I’m black? 😑

These stories break my heart. I work in customer service and adore working with people. Every person from all walks of life deserves to be treated equally with care and respect. Working in customer service you need to be able to read people, some people want help and to talk about their day, and some will give you vibes that they want minimal chit chat.

Paris, would love to see part II! ~ The Lacoste incident blew me away. All incidents were awful, but I’ve worked retail professionally for over 12 years, and I was SHOCKED! Companies never EVER direct their staff to grab something from someone! Even *IF* they felt something dishonest was happening. The fact that she felt some sort of way and grabbed it is nuts. Treat everyone the same. Period. We ARE all the SAME! Ahhh I get frustrated listening to these stories. Glad you are voicing yourself, because I’m shocked to even hear these stories. Shame on these people acting so above others!

Dude i was flying southwest. And ordered a drink usually they give you the bottle of liqueur and a soda. This attendant mixed the drink herself and i guess there was water on the cup so it was watery asf. I asked her if she could bring the closed can and bottle because it was watery. She said “it has ice right” umm yea “well ICE MELTS” I looked at her like if she had ten heads. Thankfully another flt attendant heard her and he comped my drinks the rest of the flight.
