Hello Everyone
In light of everything that is currently happening in our country, I thought I would take this opportunity to talk about something very close and dear to my heart, which is how I got out of a dysfunctional and extremely abusive (Physically, mentally and sexually) relationship and finally found my VOICE.
Sometimes people think abuse happens to a certain type of person but in actual fact it can happen to anyone, it does not have a particular favourite.
So to those who are living through it, I hope you find your voice, I hope you see beyond your current situation, yes its like this now but it doesn't have to be like this forever and if you need help PLEASE REACH OUT.
And I hope that someday we can actually have open conversations about these kind of things without feeling any guilt or shame.

I have never physically abused a woman, but I have emotionally. What I can say is if she is afraid of you you have lost her. Let her go and deal with yourself. Sometimes you need time to yourself to fix yourself. A broken you will break others. I left because I knew one day I would take her life. Women are meant to be loved and protected. I vowed that I would never allow myself to have a woman whom I am seeing fear me. Gents we need help!!!

You know I was just 4mins into the video but I just knew from the bottoms of my heart that we have been through the same . Every detail of your story was exactly the same as my last relationship. A whole 7yrs relationship weitsi I left , I left shame and never turned back I saw my worth after that and I can stand up for myself now ... I felt that am obliged to listen and do what he wants ... now am 7months post -Trauma relationship

Yoh I was in an emotionally abusive relationship, and shame I have never felt so small and worthless in my life. I am out if it now and it's so different realizing that I can just walk away if it doesn't work for me regardless of everything.

It takes a minute to get ahold of yourself after such trauma and there are always triggers but as long as you've found your way out I'm happy that on its own is a victory wish you healing mama

I'm currently going through the same thing, it's just that mine is less physical but more emotional. It's a distance relationship and we go way back... a lot of bad things happened, I cry almost everyday but I'm still finding it hard to leave him. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for sharing your story, I watched it in tears bcoz I can relate. I was in an abusive relationship last year. My problem Is my internal bruises still hurt even today, my problem is if I'm watching a movie or story about abuse I can't stand it, I just burst in tears, and I don't know what to do to help that 😭💔

I can imagine for you the wounds are still so fresh after all last year wasn't that long ago also I'm so sorry about your internal bleeding problems It hurts to go through something like that, but I think once I put out this video and I found that I was not alone it made me feel a little better, I also can't stand to watch such videos it took me forever to even edit this one because I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Take as much time as you need but also forgive yourself for letting something like that happen to you. Otherwise the abuser has won. I'm so sorry hey.
