I went to San Juan, Puerto Rico on vacation with the fam and decided to go to the beach. Basically my god-niece was drifting away in the water so I decided to grab her, but a huge wave went over us and pushed her to shore and myself towards to sea. I was so traumatized that I could barely move, but I was screaming for dear life. Somehow, my older niece came out of nowhere and pulled me to a part where I could feel the ground.

I once got lost in Paris... we were doing site seeing mind you I didn't even have a phone neither did I remember what the name of our hotel or street was..for me to be able to take a metro back so they can find me there... We were at a wine, champagne and cheese tasting fest so as you can imagine it was really full!! So we all decided to get some suveniors at apparently what was the cheapest suvenior store... I was doing the thang, l probably checked the whole store, was also very indecisive... so I didn't even notice everyone left, with our telling me!!😢😧😳😡 By the time I noticed it has been like 5 minutes since they left according to the owner whom I asked what happened to the people who I was with.. So I ran out the store, walked up the street, found no one and then went back to the store... waited 10 minutes went out again cuz no one was coming back for me.. decided to try a different street only for me to loose the street the shop was in, I eventually found it though and went back and waited there again... wait for the good part (not) they only came back 20 minutes later with a story that they were looking for me like as though they lost me somewhere else?!@$?? Like how? They left me at the store!!!😐😂😂 I was all panicked and already over the trip for a second... got over it eventually but come to think of it no one cared to look for me for a good (mostly bad) 20 minutes!!😂😂

Hey Zuri, I can totally empathize with you. I went to Maui last May with my boyfriend and nearly drowned snorkeling. My snorkel mask kept getting water in it. I would go to top to blow the water out. I did not realize how far from shore I was and I panicked and started doing the drowning bobbing up and down in the water...I was in such a state my boyfriend couldn't save me and we both were bobbing up and down in the water. because I was dragging him down with me. He yelled for help and no one came. I had to calm down or we were going to both drown. I took a deep breath and swam to shore. It was upsetting that everyone on the beach acted like they did not hear his call for help. I was shaken for a long time and that was my last time in the water at Maui.

Ha, my crazy vacay story is similar to yours! I missed my baby cousin's graduation from high school, so I took her on a trip to Miami instead (she obviously forgave me for missing her graduation at this point lol). So as part of our trip, I planned out a trip to Key West so that we could go snorkeling. Side note, neither of us had ever gone snorkeling before. Fast forward, we've got the goggles and "flippers" on, our instructor then tells us to jump into the water...mind you, by this point we're 6 miles off shore at the reef. I then told him that I wasn't comfortable getting in like that and would like to ease into the water. He then gave me a ladder and then said: 'Oh yeah, stay on this side of the boat because we're at the drop off and it's 5000 feet deep on one side of the boat and only 5-50 ft deep on the other..." He forgot to tell me to watch out for the current! When I got in, the water was great! Until I realized that I was being pushed closer and closer to the drop off, no matter how hard I swam! At this point I was getting exhausted so I decided to stop swimming for a moment and float because I had on their inflatable life jacket. Um... why did I start going under??? I looked down to see that my large breasts had literally pushed the air out of my life jacket! So I guess that the instructor saw my struggle and then tossed a pool noodle out to me (which hit me in the face lol). So by now I'm good, taking pictures of fish and this shark that's right under me... Yeah, there was a living shark like 5 feet under me! This is when the fish hit the fan! I had decided not to panic because I read that panicking draws sharks to you. Well it's hard not to panic when the shark is right infront of you AND you're being stung by jellyfish!. So I decide to swim to the boat. This is when my little cousin screams bloody murder and starts flailing around in the water desperately. All that I could think of was that she's being attacked by the shark. The instructor then dives into the water and pulls her out (like a scene from Baywatch). I followed them as fast as I could... I was worried that she was going to be bloody and disfigured, but to my surprise, she looked fine. After dramatically catching her breath, she explained that she got stung by jellyfish too. I must have had some kind of look on my face because she then sheepishly apologized for making such a scene an said "oh, I didn't mean to scare you! Want to get back in?"...I can't post what my response was, but it wasn't a very Christian response. I had only paid like $500 for this part of the trip only to ride for hours on the bus from Miami to Key West and be in the water for all of 5 minutes! Yep, that was the last time I ever took her ANYWHERE.

I'm glad you're okay! That man should have been freaking fired! I almost drowned in the pool at summer camp when I was really young. The life guard saw me & no one helped. UNTIL!!!! This fine boy named Austin Aimes jumped in the water to save me. I was so shocked because he never spoke to me. He was older & he was not a counselor or lifeguard. So he had no obligation to help me. I swear I had a crush on him after that. I was a damsel in distress & he was my hero. Tell Mettin thank you so much for saving my fave!!! We cannot lose Zuri!!! OMG. I almost drowned as well. When I was Six years old, me and my family went to a swimming hole, I was jumping off rocks into the shallow. Then one time I did it, I slipped and fell into the deep end, I screamed: HELP! as much and loud as I could until I fell in. Luckily my brother jumped in and saved me just as I lost my breath. So yeah, don't jump off rocks into water if you can't swim. Now I can swim though.

a week ago, I went to the beach! and played with my family but the water got in my mouth so I went away and came back, but I went to the deep part and the water kept pushing me back, I really thought that I was gonna die but my friend tried to help me and he's the same age but he could not carry me so we almost drowned together but the people there helped us. and I was shocked what happened I'm not very good at speaking English btw.

This is my storytime Ok so when I went to Mexico me and my dad were swimming at the beach and I was up to around my waist in the water cause I love water and swimming but I'm a bit afraid of big waves lol. So I stayed in the shallow end but then I see a sea shell in the sand under water so I reach for it (facing towards the beach not the water) then I look at it, and make sure there's no animals living in it. Then I hear my dad say "ABBY LOOK OUT!!!" And I look behind me and see a HUGE wave about to pull me into the water! Then I try to breathe but I can't I'm drowning for about 45 seconds then my mom saved me lol.

Thank God it was a hospital building, with two pieces of luggage and trying to catch a cab WOW, a good Samaritan got me a cab and I was on my way.
