This is something people in my old neighborhood come around and do they make sure your lock won’t work so they can come back and rob your car later. I would have told them someone pulled that same scam on me a year ago.

That could have ended so bad. Thank god it didn’t take a turn for the worse and that you are safe. It’s so sad that it’s so dangerous for women and girls to be alone

Omg this story time gave me anxiety. I could see this happening when I used to live downtown, just being shy and timid and naive. But now I’m smarter about things lol. But I was in panic that something worse was gonna happen. Thank you for sharing so others can be more aware. Alsoooooo I like the whole you attract what you put out or you vivid with alike frequency butttttt the universe or whatever always tries to tempt you and throw you off so you give up and think it’s not right when really you have to push past that. It’s a tough world out here

This video could help so many people, scam wise and also safety wise. I'm glad that you are safe now and came out of this safe, because this story could've gone a lot differently. On a different note, I absolutely love your sweater in the second-ish part of the video and your makeup!

Don't be so hard on yourself. There are so many horrible people in this world that prey on unsuspecting people. Some people will try to scam anyone they can out of money and they don't care who they hurt. Be thankful that you are safe and that the situation is over. It was a learning experience and now, like you said, you will be aware when someone tries to scam you. Thank you for sharing this story so others can learn from it! Don't trust random people and if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.
@iamAshuhleyy6 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you’re stupid at all. You have a good heart and want to believe there are good genuine people in this world. When you’re in the spur of the moment and you’re not really thinking everything through because situations like this usually happen in one swift second, you obviously didn’t feel in any immediate danger and he took advantage of that. He’s the stupid one. I’m glad nothing too serious happened!

When you're 22 you really do think differently than when you're older. And the older you get the more you experience people not being truthful. Don't feel bad, everyone has fallen for something or another.

I feel you gurl. I've been scammed out of so much money one time and I will NEVER let that shit happen to me again. I lost $5,000 and i was devastated. it took me so long to save up that money and I'm still broke from that. it happened to me back in October. Scammers can rot in hell for all I care

I’ve literally watched this happen to a woman in my town where she got scammed by a man and woman into getting a dent in her car fixed. She happened to walk away into a store as they were fixing the car, and she came back to that paste ALL OVER the door. glad you’re ok!!

Alison, I am so sorry this happened to you!! I was scared for you just listening...Thank you for sharing your story and spreading awareness of this sort of atrocity. My husband is a police officer and I hear this kind of thing a lot. No matter how much time has passed, it would be a good thing to report it to the police, if you have not already. Getting the incident on the books opens up documentation and starts a report. If anyone else reports this sort of thing (and from your second experience it sounds like it's probably happened to more than one person) it could really help out in the long run. If it ever happens again, or to anyone else this may happen to, getting a plate number is a big help, as long as getting a plate number does not jeopardize your safety. Listening to this story made me remember in 2016 when I got a new car; I had a delivery driver come up to me while I was at work and ask me which car was mine (again, while I was at work) when he saw it was a new car he told me he tinted windows. He said he had his stuff with him and that he would only charge me $100 for legit window tints. He said VERY, VERY similar things to me, trying to get me to agree to do this. It sounded very tempting and very convincing, even though I had never thought of getting window tints before. I was at work and very busy and hence had to push him on his way. These scammers know what they're doing. Again, thank you for sharing your story. :)

something just like that happened to me but over the phone. they said they were from a computer company and something about viruses and I refused to pay bc I had this really bad feeling that it wouldn’t be a good idea since he wanted the credit card details and he got SO mad. Immediately I knew how dumb I was to even begin talking to them over the phone like- eugh. sometimes you just trust people bc I honestly, I’m sure you do as well, think of the best in people.

A few years ago I fell for this exact same scam and lost $200 or $250 over a dent in my bumper. I knew it was going to cost me $600 to get fixed at a legitimate shop and I negotiated the price down with the scam artist. I think he put car wax or something over the “fixed” dent that it took him 30 minutes to pop out with a blow torch. Live and learn, I guess, but I felt very dumb after falling for it.

I had a guy do the same thing to me! Or try to, I had part of my front bumper missing and the passenger mirror. This two guys stopped me after I parked and were offer to fix it right then they could repair it I just need to follow them to their garage and we’re being SOOOO pushy. And I just look at them and was like yea no my brother in law works at an auto shop. If I wanted it fixed I would’ve fixed it already. But they would not give up so I got back in my car and left
