When I worked at the thrift store, it was very close to the university that I'd attended. So a large part of our customer base was students, faculty and staff from the nearby college. Sometimes people recognized me, which was always awkward and embarrassing. But a couple times I had JANITORIAL staff from the college recognize me working at that store, and they literally MADE FUN of me because I was a “lowly cashier” after going to college. Even though these women were old enough to be my mother and were still janitors themselves, they shamed me for going to college just to end up as a cashier. 🙃😞 As if they knew my circumstances. And they did this while I was ringing them up. They were roasting me like I wasn't even there, just going out of their way to be disrespectful to me, as I did a service for them. 🙃 People ain't shit. People are straight up cruel and evil. But with the current circumstances of the world, those women are now unemployed, because college campuses are closed until further notice (where I am). Karma is a bitch. 😂

Part 2 please! 1. When I worked for the airport, I was working on body scan machines and had to give a lady a pat down. I was telling her the reason why I had to pat her down and asked her she wanted to go to a private room. She declines and she pulls down her pants all the way down in the middle of the airport and shows me her plastic surgery scars from her BBL. 2. I was a teacher and I had two boys fighting in the classroom, I tried to stop it twice and I lost several nails and my shoe. Thank goodness I had extra pins in my wig that day.

Girl SAME with Sears! I worked there for like three weeks, and they didn’t train me either 😂. It was supposed to be my second job, and they just stopped scheduling me after a while. I basically walked around all day on soft lines and fixed things to looks busy. We got a new store manager during the time and when I gave my “official” two week notice, he was like “Aww we’re gonna miss you🥺” Sir you don’t even know my name and I haven’t worked a shift in a month quit playing 🤣

I think the closest time I wanted to hurt customers was when I worked at Uniqlo. They had a deal on fleece sweaters that began Monday. By Wednesday there’s only size Large and up left. This family decided to ruin a folded table of fleece sweaters because they didn’t believe my scanner that said we didn’t have any smalls left 🙄🙄

My worst retail experience was working for Ulta. So petty. Our store manager was crazy pushing us on the credit cards, and when people didn't get approved she'd act like it was your fault? She'd start me on a pointless dusting task, then before I could finish start me on a restocking task and before I could finish that have me putting back stuff peoole changed their mind about. Changed my schedule around last minute all the time, complained about the pants I wore. Complained about my makeup. Got annoyed when I asked her where stuff had moved to after a floorset because she'd schedule me three days every two weeks. Just 😤 I wish I had cursed her out before I stopped showing up!

This is so dear to me. Lol...I worked in retail for over 10 years. I worked for a vitamin company and I remember being the manager on duty and a female customer comes to an associate and said "yeah I took all the vitamins, since I didn't lose weight I figured I return it." 🤯🤯🤯 I've never been that close to laughing at a person and wanted to choke them at the same time. So wait you took the entire bottle and you want the retailer to give you back the money? I didn't guarantee that you would lose the weight! After spending over 1 hour explaining to her to contact the vendor directly. She looks me dead in my face and said "what's a vendor? I just want my money!" ELECTRIC CHAIR!! I walked away from her and got into my west Indian and Brooklyn bag and said nah you got 2 minutes to leave my store! She left in 1...I took a week vacation! Horrible!!!

I love your storytimes! I rewatch your bad professor story time whenever I need a laugh and just because I like hearing school stories. I worked at the movie theater at Roosevelt field mall and had way too many people yell at me about prices I had no control over or leave every item they purchased on the floor and crushed into the carpet.
