Conrad talks about himself far too much. He constantly interrupts wrestlers' thoughts to give his own opinions or memories and he talks about meltzer every other 5 minutes as if he were a wrestling God. Not to mention he constantly promotes blue pills. Kinda shows you the only type of sponsorship he gets.

Not a question but back in the 80’s, Dutch would wrestle in Columbus, MS on Saturday night, then in Memphis on Monday night. He obviously was driving to Memphis on a Monday and pulled in to a convenient store in New Albany, Ms. He was a heel in Memphis, Jeff Jarrett was just coming in & they had a big match scheduled that very night. I asked him about Jeff, he snapped into character and told me he was going to beat that little sissy to death. He said we needed to come up to Memphis and see what him & Shoe Baby was going to do!!!!! The best heel ever. One of my all time favorites 😊

As far back as Foley's first book, when kayfabe was more alive and well than it is now, Mick said that HBK was 200 or 205. He said in his next book that Big Show was 450 when he was billed at 500 and I think he said Viscera was the same weight.

I remember Dynamite Kid was one of the first to mention that Andre could be really mean when he wanted to. His apologists tend to put that down to the booze and his being in constant pain, whereas the likes of Bruce Prichard and Shane McMahon just laugh at it. Andre is a sacred cow where the WWE old guard are concerned, he's beyond criticism. In fairness, when he was rough with people, there was usually a reason for it and he usually gave the other party a chance to wise up and they chose not to e.g. John Studd stepping over the top rope, Randy Savage smothering himself in baby oil before wrestling, Warrior stiffing him with clotheslines and Bigelow just generally acting like a primadonna backstage. Andre always genuinely sounded like a reasonable, amiable guy in his youth.

Andre - 7'0" Big Show - 7'0" Undertaker - 6'7" (at the height of the WCW/WWE war, WCW stated Taker was 6'7" - I don't see any reason why they'd inflate the height of one of their rival's top wrestlers) Kane - 6'6" For reference, Sid has admitted himself that he's a legit 6'6'' People always say Kane was taller than Taker but he wore lifts and Taker didn't
@JackBarrett7

I dont think Andre was over 7". Windham said his height was 6'11" and thats what he was measured on Montreal TV by a doctor at..but he was 19 and continued to grow. He def. wasnt 7'4". Theres a picture of him and Studd, who was legit 6'9" and in it, Andre is standin on the balls of his feet to appear taller. Big Show is 7". I think Kane is 6'9" and Taker 6'8"..going by their basketball records. Oddly, Kamala was 6'4" and billed at up to 6'9" and One Man Gang was 6'5 and was billed at 6'9" in Tx.

The host is most likely correct. They were still running the Nashville area on Saturday nights most of the time even close to the end in 1997. When the flea market was held on the fourth Saturday they would run surrounding communities like Lebanon, Gallatin Springfield etc. At that time however Burt Prentice had begun his indie promotion Music City Wrestling and ran on Wednesday nights at the Nashville National Guard Armory and was using USWA guys like Tracy Smothers, Sir Mo, Tommy Rich, Doug Gilbert, Rock and Roll Expres, Buddy Landell, Terry Golden and Faaron Foxx among some new enhancement talent such as Cody Montana, Scufflin Hillbilly, Justin St John , Shane Eden and local talents like The Wild Boys. While Burts promotion only was drawing 400 to 500 it packed the building and the USWA was drawing 200 or less when years prior was drawing 2000 in Nashville and that was one of their lowest drawing cities in the big days of the territory where Memphis, Louisville and Lexington were their bread and butter cities.

Jacked, though. He tried stage diving and I was having none of that shit and just ducked and scattered and let everyone else handle the catch.

He called the shots because he put butts in seats. Like many folks, the power went to his head. He was an alcoholic and like many alcoholics he had temper issues. There’s several stories of him giving wrestlers a hard time. People couldn’t really stand up to him or else he would have them fired is what I’ve heard.
