They don't even have to use The Wrestler as a reference for dying in the ring, Mitsu Misawa did it for real and even wrote a letter two years before he died predicting that he'd die in the ring to whoever gave him that final bump. Difference is he did it while still close to his prime. Been many others but that's arguably closest to going out in the ring while still able to perform at a high level.

Flair would have to sign a stack of hold harmless agreements (assumption of a known risk) a half inch thick, removing any and all liability from the promotion, as well as individual HHA with the individuals he was going into the ring with, as well as the owners of the building etc. Would they be binding and hold up in court when his estate sues any and all parties for negligence pertaining to his death, well there is no way of telling. I guarantee that his children will be running to an attorney's office to have actions filed to make a fast buck.
