I think inflation always plays into record revenue for WWE. Most people mid-30s to 40s remember 1980s to early 2000s wrestlers, but not too many people know many modern wrestlers compared to before. You get Austin, The Rock, Foley, Taker, Hogan, Flair, and the Hardy Boys if the subject of wrestling comes up

FYI if anyone ever gets a bit too much nicotine like Dutch described, just drink a soda or have something with some sugar in it. Works every time. Dipping snuff for years was particular to the South. Regardinb that fans question if WWE is the hottest I am with James, in regards of the Main Stream view on it. When I was in school, towards the Attitude Era, everyone watched WWE. Also when I startedt to work as young adult people still talked about it, even at work. It was as much part of pop culture as music, durint the Attitude Era and the Monday Night Wars. It slowly become less main stream after WWE bought WcW. It's still there and doing well, but it's not that of a part of the main stream pop cultre. That's why you barely see anyone in public with a WWE Shirt and if you say you watch wrestling people might give you a weird look.

Wrestling is now the hottest it's been THIS CENTURY! I can agree with that no problem. But as far as global popularity goes, you can take a photo of Hulk Hogan from the 80's and show it to anyone in the world and he's easily one of the most identifiable celebrities in the world. I can't watch. I've tried. I watched from 1988 to COVID (mostly) but I think it's absolutely awful. The acting was probably always cheesy but it's so hammy and easy to predict even with no background knowledge. Every time I turn on I just cringe within 30 seconds.
