Whew!!! Fantastic. I thought I was fairly well read on major events from history till a new video from Story Trails pops up and it's like - you know nothing. Among the most interesting information that I have come across in several months. Very well narrated with interest sustained from start to end

Interesting video. Quit short and sweet. But I like to share some ancient knowledge from Sri Lanka. In the videos it's mentioned that emperor Ashoka couldn't retrieve the relic casket from the Ramagrama stupa, and it may still be there. But however, our greatest chronicle of Lanka "The Mahavamsa" also mention that Emperor Ashoka didn't retrieve the casket. But later when King Dutugamunu of Anuruadhapura was building the "Ruwanwelisaya" pagoda, the relic casket of Ramagrama was retrieved and placed in the newly constructed pagoda. However the chronicles describes the whole story of bringing the Ramagrama relics to Lanka in a quit super natural and mythological style, but the records very clearly mention that the Naga people resisted in handing over the buddha relics to the Lankan king, and they were very sad after the relics were taken from them and the leader of the naga people from " Mahakala Naga" was among the attendies at the grand inauguration of the " Ruwanwelisaya" in 140 B.C. So, most likely the Ramagrama relics are resting presently in Anuradhapura, Sri lanka worshipped everyday by thousands of Buddhists.

Super video.... I am a hindu.... but this is our real indian history... not the one what we watched in TV channel serials in childhood.... not the one our parents taught us, as they were taught wrong... not the one which religion taught us.... the story is so facinating...

At Least parts of the content of Ramagrama casket is in Sri Lanka now. during 2nd Century BCE, king Dutu Gemunu acquired some relics of Buddha to deposit in his Ruwanweli stupa in Anuradhapura. Great Sri Lankan chronical "Maha Vansa" described the king has got them through an enlightened monk by tricking the Nagas.

@zojozojo-ox6wj4 ай бұрын
@fai3379 There is archaeological evidence that Buddha was born in modern Nepal And the stupa of others Buddha who lived before shakyamuni has also been found, which is in today's modern India. The reason for the decline of Buddhism in India was external invasions and the influence of the new religion of Brahmins (Hinduism) on the kings. But the Hinduism you see today is a form of Tibet's Vajrayana and the rest of Mahayana But we have been cut off from the real history. Brahmins have destroyed Buddha in the entire education system by spreading wrong information and confusion They have also spread the lie that Hinduism existed before Buddha

@@fai3379 even in ancient time there was no India there is big difference between India & Indian sub continent even before British came to India there was no India entire sub continent was ruled by under different small/big kingdom India as a country it’s only United & become India after British left your logic is too poor time pass & Jambudeep become India ? You want to say entire sub continent is India ? When Buddha was born in that time there was no India no Nepal entire sub continent/ jambudeep has different small & big kingdom ...yeah so time passed & there is different small & big kingdom United & got shaped as different country in Indian Subcontinent/Jambudeep like British United different small & big kingdom later that big chunk of Indian subcontinent become India & same as for Nepal . a small kingdom of Gorkha’s King Prthivi Narayan Sha started expand his Gorkha kingdom from Gorkha & later its become Nepal ...in entire Indian subcontinent there was none of these country present at that time there was a different small & big kingdom in Jambudeep ...now if talk in present time Lumbini Is located Nepal not in India then how can you say that Buddha was born in India stop spreading false information ..... there no truth about Buddha was born in India yes & there is 10000% true Budhha was enlightened in India. Everything you read in book that’s always not true ... talk in present time no one saw passed time ...what ever written by historian or writer that’s not always true Buddha’s Birthplace located in Nepal at present time so no matter what it is You can’t say Buddha was not born in Nepal 🇳🇵
