As a fellow kayaker watching this, is like someone who likes folding paper airplanes watching a SpaceX rocket take off into space. Much respect for your unattainable skills. A massive high five from Sweden, take care!

You can fold paper?! Teach me some tricks? I'm not close to that level of sophistication.

I lived in Squamish for about 6 months a few years ago, the area is a natural playground that has something for everyone. It's like an Adult Adventure Disney World. Great footage of this run.

Not often DJ sees a fresh and intimidating section. Special. I enjoyed seeing him look back after drops and then forward to see the next section. The POV captured this heightened awareness. Very cool. Gracias.

always find this one scary as its a 'local run', and sometimes that means its sold as less intense than it really is, such a pretty run though

Is the drop called 50/50 because your chances are 50/50 or is it named after the skateboard grind
@MatthewBrookKayaking2 жыл бұрын
The former, I believe. There's an old LLP video of him tallying successes vs failures on it!
@hankslywetfoot78172 жыл бұрын
50/50 rapids are usually named that because you can do the same move through it and get a different result each time. Or not idk

Either right before or after you filmed here, a local paddler died on this run. He'd paddled it for many years.. river is no joke

At the first fall, why are you guys taking the left lip? The line is straight to the wall. I would be terrified to get stuck under that right wall with that overhang!
