Jack! Why do UK broadcasters have no idea how to pronounce Pacific Island states?! It's not exactly difficult. "Palau" is not hard - start with the rice dish (pilau), and just tweak it.. I'll grant you, "Kiribati" is tricky (pron. "Kiribaass"), but honestly, there must be someone in the BBC who can give a pronunciation guide to presenters!!! This happens often...
