Forgotten all about Swamnpy the eco warrior from episode 1, he spent a week living in a tunnel to stop a road being built. The A303 I think, very good road

Ia that when we realised there was no hope for any of it if we couldnt even stop a road cutting down an ancient forest. That was probably when everyone gave up and succumbed to all this collapse and inequality totally.

The first episode was the week Merton separated from his then wife Caroline Quentin. It was briefly alluded to on the show.

Ah I see...thanks for adding that I had never heard reference to it before it was a bit awkward.

The guy on Ian's team on the last episode of the series is father of Tom Holland (the guy that plays spider man) Also, I'm probably the rare person that thinks that Ian is funner then Paul

Paul Merton : well know comic Ian Hislop : surprise wit and timing. being a periodical editor would seem to be a dullard's passion. but not so in Ian's case. He's genuinely funny.
@susannamarker25822 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. Ian is funnier than Paul.

Late to the party but I've always thought Ian is funnier than Paul. Also, I once bumped into Ian Hislop in M&S on the King's Road - he seemed like to be very nice chap.

Ive seen them on their own and mertons quite different and so is Ian. I think they go together well...sometimes Paul just sit there and doesnt say anything at all ..there was one whole series where he barely said a word had a look too. Theyre just so different its like saying the cream is better than the jam on a scone..

Who’s the drippy looking guy in t he first episode?
@p1nkelephants4 жыл бұрын
That's Swampy. He was an eco warrior who was famous for about 3 months. Apparently he only went on the show so he could sit next to Paul.

Paxman shock-jock was such a boring interviewer, or the word interrogator would be more fitting. Just like a Kirk Session.

The Hamiltons. Christine came back, Neil, nsm. And didn't she take it like a champ when she did return, even needling Angus. they're the kind of guests you have when you need some character to liven things up...(eye roll)

The woman in the last episode talking about her sperm distribution plan. Of course no mention of the woman being able to raise a child, only that a man must be capable of paying for it.
