As i watched him use the come-a-long at that painfully slow speed I thought to myself that it would be faster to drive to Harbor Freight and grab a 12v winch than it would to keep cranking on that thing, and the next morning the first stop is harbor freight. haha c'mon man! Being's you own a car hauler with no winch up front is crazy to me, and hey, maybe you would have remembered the water!! Love your stuff Strad, and I will admit, using the come-a-long for 12 hrs vs. having an insanely expensive car trailer or paying a company to haul your cars reminds us how humble you are and personally relatable. ✌

It was miserable and bad enough to where it felt as if the back right of the truck was starting to go light even ewith the weight on the hitch! And mind you, we're towing a pretty decent sized trailer that is well below the maximum for our F-150. Crazy experience! What you should have done before taking apart the Ferrari, was to photograph each part you were going to remove, so that you could see through the pictures how it was sitting. Then marked the part, what part it is and where it should sit, and then put the parts on the shelf in the right order. This is what many car restorers do, who completely restore their cars and it takes years to do it, then this work becomes easier if you do as I described.

Pro tip for road trips. Pour your trail mix or nuts or Chex mix or loose candy like M&Ms into a Nalgene bottle. Then you can pour it into your mouth while you drive instead of taking your eyes off the road and reaching into the bag and getting food on your hands and then messing up your steering wheel. And you don’t have to worry about dropping it or spilling it in the car and making a mess.
