@@sourabhdebnath685 Dravid may be average but no one not even Sachin can bat like him in swinging conditions even at the later part of his career in 2011 he scored 100s like cake walk in English conditions by that time sachin was finished...Sachin streched his career for 3 years he should have retired in 2010 on a high note just like Dravid did! I personally feel Rahul is more technically sound than Sachin.

Sachin was and would remain the name which defined Cricket for a generation of fans. Players like Kohli or Smith might break records set up by Sachin but they won't be able to capture the imagination of a nation like Sachin did. For India, which was just breaking through the shackles of its socialist past, Sachin's batting was one binding factor for a nation slowly coming to terms with the reality. He was beautifully aided by Ganguly and fully blossomed under Ganguly's captaincy. In ODIs certainly, I think Sachin so far is the greatest batsman ever. Thank you for the memories, Sachin!
