How to divide 11000 by 182

Consider: FIRTST: 182 = 2*91 Divide by 2 to result in 5500/91 Divide by "Transpose and Apply" Multiply the final remainder by 2. SECOND: 182 = 200 - 18 ==> Divide by 2, and use negative 18 on the flag. You need to be careful in using negative digits on the flag. I don't recall if I have an example that uses negative flag digits. Sure hope that helps. Sarwan

This method can save my time so much. But i think the negative flag digits rather difficult. Thank you for your help, Teacher !!

Sarwan Aggrawal And i found , If Divisor is 1 , It's so difficulty because negative flag digits are so much.

Try Nikhilam method. There should be three videos on division: Nikhilam Method of Division Transpose and Apply method of division Straight division I build most of the background in "Nikhilam method" video. Only problem with the video is that I spend way too much time to argue that all the methods of division are basically the same. These come from "Divide and Conquer" and utilize two step division with adjustments. The text books present the methods as if these were different methods. If you skip over these arguments, you should find that method highly enriching. Sarwan
