Interesting method. Your tips and ideas have greatly helped my consistency over two years. I'm to the point now of having no fear on any shot, just get it done. I gave the line method a try on the practice green and St Andrew's. It really helps in finding an approximate line, but at this time my pure eye/feel/stroke way seems better. We'll see how it goes with practice or perhaps save this for putts that are just hard to see. Thanks for numerous tips along the way. FlatEarthBaller

As a confirmed feel putter, along the lines of this video I halve the distance as a starting point the incorporate the elevation and the dots, halving the distance usually gives me the straight line (solid white line)

I've been using the focal point of the total distance. If the dots were moving at a normal pace then two grids covered would be 1 cup of break. It's on the same line as yours but not exactly. My putting stats are not the greatest so always looking for something new, thanks for video.

Just dont know what you mean by finding the straight line. When you say theres the line, what is it lined up with?

The line is this line you see when he holds down the mouse. Move it around and you can see the line change. That line needs to be a straight line. From there you have to add/subtract sometimes

@@wgt.Th0maz700 If the line of the putt os obviously incorrect, too high or too low, the white line f the putt shows up as "broken" into segments - not a smooth, continuous line. Once the line is smooth and continuous, the trick is finding if that line is the correct aim. Sometimes the straight line can be too high or low. but by moving the aimpoint, the box at the end of the putt line a little bit at a time, AND using your intuition and experience to gauge the speed of the break (reading the dots - are they fast moving, slow moving?), you can get close and even sink a few putts. My biggest query is how does @Young46 calculate dot speeds and break for different green speeds with this method? It seems as if the white line moves from being"segmented" to smooth indicating a general line and adjusts for the green speed - I could be totally off on this assessment, but so far, this method seems to work fairly well. And be sure to watch Young46's jc snead putting video!

young46 how are you my friend? I hope you and your family are well and healthy... You didn't post for a long time and left us worried about your health... I know you've already talked about putting (more than once) but I still don't understand how you discover the break and do the math so quickly Can you make a video explaining please? I know your heart is so big and I know you love this game and your friends here.... Can you help us with this young? A big hug for you and the children!❤️👍

i dont get how players adjust for distance. you had a 14 ft putt, and your putter meter was set to 15 ft. you do a 50% power putt. 50% of 15ft is 7.5 ft. I dont see any hill. looks flat. so I would expect your distance to be no more than 7.5ft. Yet it rolls to 14ft no problem... what am i missing here? how the hell do you know where the sswwt spot is?

I must be a bit slow-where is the straight line? Is it the two lines of dots either side of the hole that are straight?

I’m still trying to figure out what he means by the straight line too. Is he referring to the putt preview line being straight? Because that’s always straight
