Thanks for sharing this. Now I have an idea what my 305 will sound like with a similar exhaust setup on the 81'Malibu. With a CAT delete, I still will be using muffler's, which will be the only difference. I was also planning to have the exhaust come out the same place you got yours. This is going to get interesting. 👍

add a mild summit cam (cheap..maybe $100 ) and it all changes,then you get lope and it sounds like a beast

@@robertward1880 since getting the Malibu back from the shop. I myself may be doing something similar as I have to put an exhaust on it. Engines sound similar. And I have to tweak the carburetor abit. But all that is coming in the spring/summer months.

I would love to see a video of you sitting inside to do a cold start on a really cold morning without using any choke. Plenty of cranking before it fires up.
