Shoot. I like it. It just needs some resonator mufflers at the end before the tips to get it under the probably 118db it's at right now and it's perfect. Sound is on point though.

Yup, I think I'll do an x pipe setup on my LS400. The stock exhaust has that 2" in/exit middle resonator plus mine is pretty beat up already. Looks like the SC's have a 2.4" middle resonator, pretty interesting. Anyway, great video!

Oh yes I definitely recommend using 2 as in my opinion it cancels out a lot of the rasp!

Currently I have deleted the rear mufflers and I like the sound level, I just feel like it would sound better with an x-pipe setup. Btw, I today listened to this with ear buds and man does your car sound good!

I removed the resonators and both mufflers from mine and replaced them with an x-pipe resonator from Magnaflow . It sounds better than this one and not as obnoxiously loud.

I have an 03 LS430 with 3rd cat, muffler+res all deleted and replaced w factory diameter pipe, it sounds similar to yours just not as throaty. if i had it redone all with 2.5in pipe, do u think it would sound the same?

oh yes pipe size makes a big difference. the bigger the pipe the more of a roar you get

And maybe get around 240wheel there’s a guy around where I live same setup his is a 95 making that , then down the road a supercharger setup

Holy crap!! 14,000 miles?? You could sell that for $20,000!!! Anyways it ran me $300 whenever I kept my mufflers. When i returned the next day to get them deleted he charged me an extra $50. So all in all he charged me $350 which is a great price imo. Most big shops will probably charge $500+ so I recommend doing what I did and find a small shop out in the country since they tend to charge cheaper.

You can get these things called defoulers and they restrict air flow to the O2 sensor behind cats making it seem like the cats restriction is still there

No sir. They used these 02 Defoulers. They’re like spacers to move the sensor out of the exhaust stream

@@pushhrodd01 mine is a 92 sc400. I just did an x-pipe deleted 3rd cat,, deleted the resonators and mufflers too. But i still have the main 2 cats on. It sounds good and loud and i'm in love with the raspy sound. I did notice a little bit of drone,,, however i am still contemplating whether to leave the cats or delete them. I know it will be louder but i dont know if the drone will be louder.

@@ikennaihegbu7692 honestly the only drone is only bad whenever i floor it. at highway speeds my car is actually very quiet still. Deleting the cats definitely helps with flow imo. they were clogged from being so old. I didn’t get a check engine light either because i used some o2 extenders

Whichever way one looks at the sc400, it is not ‘macho’ enough to spit fire this wet gas sound. Sorry, I am keeping my sc400 with low purr. In MD my 1992 is registered historic exempted from inspection.

Not macho enough? Man this has the legendary 1UZ that has a race inspired engine block. 6 bolt main. When do you hear of that? With a very robust bottom end. A reliable DOHC 32 valve V8 in the 90s? That was unheard of. This engine is more than macho enough to be loud

It has a engine that was first produced in 89 and a 4 speed transmission with technology from the 90s. it’s not fast by today’s standards but back then it wasn’t a slouch. That comment doesn’t make much sense because a chevy 350 cammed sounds amazing but doesn’t make much power. Fords 4.6 in the mustangs sounds lovely but isn’t high hp. Mazda’s rotary gives off a very unique sounds but doesent have much hp. tesla’s are extreamly fast but make no sound 😂😂😂 an engine does not require high hp to be allowed to sing
